Mother of Dragons. Holder of Dogs.

Pet care experience

I inherited my love of animals from my grandmother who used to raise, foster and show dogs with all of her free time in between having 10 children. I have had dogs and cats since I was little and love them to pieces. I have watched many dogs (including housesitting as well as boarding at my apartment and am happy to provide references upon request.) Additional things about me: -I worked at a vet office in college. -I have a car. -I am experienced and comfortable giving medication including injections -I have experience with puppies, seniors dogs, rescues and dogs with disabilities as well as conditions including: tripods, 1 eye, arthritis, hearing impaired, blind, injured, separation anxiety, diabetes & seizures. Bonus: I work with my dog-sitting business partner (Michael), so if your dog(s) stay with us, they have 2 experienced dogsitters to give them ample attention, bathroom breaks, exercise and care.

So happy to have found Maria & Michael! She was great about sending update photos which clearly showed Hugo making himself quite comfy in her home. :-) Will definitely be reaching out for future boarding.

Maria and Michael cared for my family’s 15 year old chihuahua with a host of issues (megasophogous, daily medication needs, separation anxiety) while we were away for my destination wedding. We had never left her with someone else for longer than a day or two and were very worried. We were sent updates and pictures every day and most importantly she was safe and sound when we returned! It was a huge relief for us and allowed us to all actually enjoy our vacation together knowing she was being taken care of. We’re so thankful and highly recommend these two, especially for any senior or special needs pets. We would definitely request their services again if we do another family trip in the future. Thanks so much Maria & Michael!

Delphine spent a whole month with Maria and Michael and had the time of her life! She loves to play with other dogs and there were plenty of opportunities for her to make new friends and have great playtime. Maria and Michael updated us EVERY DAY! With a picture and a little anecdote and we appreciated that so much because it was the first time we were separated from her for such a long time. She bonded with both of them and the love seemed mutual. Maria and Michael are clearly very experienced dog sitters and we trusted them without reservation to take the best care of our beloved pup. Highly recommended!

With our new pup, my wife and I were anxious about leaving her for a long weekend. Maria offered to meet with us in person, and within minutes, our fears faded away faster than a dog fart. She put us at ease, our 55 pound cattle dog smothered her with kisses, and her apartment was accommodating. Maria made the transition process easy for our travel plans, helped educate us on preparing our dog, and sent pictures and notes via Rover daily. She also gave us bonus training tips on handling stubborn pups who don't want to walk where you want them to ;) We will 100% hire Maria again for our next trip and recommend her to any pet owners. She has a special gift with animals, and was clearly a dog in another lifetime.
