Pet care experience
** Important: ** A portion of all rates for my profile is donated to the K-9’s for Vets and Wounded Warriors! This provides service dogs to our Veterans. Because we understand that your dog is more than just a pet... We are a family home looking to help provide the best care for your furry family member. Taking care of your pet, just like our own, is a family affair. Especially for our children, it teaches responsibility amongst other things. We specialize in Husky and Husky-mixed breeds! Feeding schedule (2-3 times per day depending on requirement) and constant available fresh water. For Drop-In Care: My daughter is my assistant. She learns by working with me and earns part of whatever is paid. About this sitter: I am a middle aged mom of three with extensive experience with animals. I work from home every other week. We homeschool our teenagers who help participate in the care of our own pets and those that come to temporarily be part of our family. Why I love dog sitting: I grew up with dogs all of my life. My family has had dogs of every breed from Irish Setters to wolf hybrids. My parents bred Irish Setters for a short time, and we forever had strays that were being taken in and found homes for. I have trained my own dog in basic obedience and started Service Dog training for additional control - all backed up by an experienced trainer. Meet my pets: At almost 13, Aurora is our elderly female husky mix who is often all too happy to show you she knows how to say her own name and how spoiled she really is. Phoenix is a 5 year old red husky who has never growled at another animal or human a day in her life. Seems like she is always smiling and loves everyone. Magnus - a 18 month old Husky/Malmute mixed breed; he is high energy and utterly a loving boy who enjoys his puppy friend.. Eessa - Mags puppy friend. Supposedly a Shepard mix it is hard to tell, she’s only 10 weeks old. Cats: Chaos, Squishy, Emily, D’Artagnan, and Andromeda 2 Sugar Gliders who are kept in their cage, separate from other animals. Multiple chickens and turkeys; as well as other birds kept indoors as pets. About my yard: We are on 2 acres of forested land with a 30 x 30 enclosed area for the dogs. My experience administering medication Yes. As a mom to children and furry family members as long as the instructions (dosage and timing) are provided, this is not an issue.

Reviews

Great experience. She took good care of my dog and updated me daily with pics and made me feel very comfortable leaving my dog with her. Would highly recommend.

Maria did multiple visits for our kitties, including litter and play time. She sent pictures, communicated well, and took care of our babies without fuss.

Maria was flexible and communicative. She sent updates and videos of our loved ones. And she was very helpful in making sure that our kitties was loved.

Maria is great with Juno and her children love her. Maria sends lots of pics and is very easy to schedule with.

A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks Walks through our little subdivision. Your dog's sleeping arrangement In my home of course! If Aurora has her way, the couches are fair game as well. Bedding can be provided. Ultimately for the protection and safety of all animals, they are requested to the dog room (with my dogs or alone with bedding). Time I'll spend with your dog I am home most of the day, where we can play, cuddle, and just chill. If I am not owners are notified that another family member will take my place. I think its important to keep them active so they look forward to the interactions later.
