Pet care experience
Hello! I've taken care of animals ever since I could remember. I grew up with two siamese at my grandmother's house and was the catsitter when my grandma left town. Dogs didn't come into my life until I was about 8 when my family and I got our first dog - an old English sheepdog. Where my obsession began. I've had two old English sheepdogs since my first. One, I've trained myself since two months of age, and even though they are no longer with me (they are my dad's dog, and he moved to TX), I am the go-to pet sitter for my family and friends, and this brings me great joy! I hope to become your go-to petsitter as well :D
Reviews
Maria Luisa L. cancelled a booking 2 days before it was scheduled to begin.
Maria Luisa is the best! Our dog and cat adore her, and she is always so attentive and responsive to their needs. Both our pets take meds to control chronic conditions so I really appreciate the peace of mind I get from Maria Luisa’s detailed updates on how they are doing. She was also super flexible and understanding when I recently had to postpone a scheduled housesitting stay. She is great to work with and goes above and beyond for our buds!
She was so great! Really cares for and takes care of our dog! :)

Walks: Let me know what is ideal for your pup! Most pups I dogsit, we walk 3-4 times a day, 20-minute walks. A walk in the morning upon waking up, a walk 30 minutes after breakfast, a walk around human lunchtime, a walk before dinner, and a walk right before bed. If you'd like fewer or more walks, please let me know, and I'm happy to do what is ideal for your pup. Playtime: I usually like to play when your pup wants to play. Whether chasing them around because they have the zoomies or playing tug of war, I'm here to comply. If your pup is more active, please let me know how you feel about dog parks or how you like to get their energy out. If your dog is older and doesn't need as much activity, that's awesome, too; I can do what you do at home to make them feel comfortable. Love: I love cuddling and kissing. But if that's not your pup's love language, I can respect it. Pups are permitted on the couch and the bed. I know some owners would prefer not to allow that as it may change their behavior at home. That's fair. Just let me know your limitations, and I'll duplicate it at my house. Feeding: please give me their bowls, feeding schedule, allergies, how you prepare their food, etc. Emergency: PLEASE, PLEASE give me your dogs' medical records in case of an emergency. I need to have everything at hand. Environment: I live in a two-bedroom apartment with a roommate (who is as obsessed with animals as I am). Your pet will be cared for by me but petted by both of us. There is a calm suburban neighborhood right next to where I live, and I walk dogs there. PHOTOS: Apartment photo - looks a little messy due to us taking down holiday decor and repotting plants (hehe). Also, I do have many plants. I've never had a problem with dogs chewing on them; most of the time, they meander around them, pretending their in the wilderness being predators. BUT if you know your pet loves to chew on leaves, we're probably not a good match. Please let me know if you'd like more photos of my home. Happy to provide. If there is anything you'd like me to know about your pet, please let me know. I write two pages on how to care for my pets (technically my dad's, but whatever), so don't be afraid to write me a book if needed. I'll read it all. My priority is for you to feel comfortable while you're away and for your pet to be safe, taken care of, and have a good experience while you're gone.

Information Maria Luisa L. would like to know about your pet
1. Is your pup high-energy? If so, what are some activities you do to release energy? 2. What is a regular routine for your pup? 3. Does your pup have a good recall? 4. Are you for or anti-dog parks?? 5. Is your pup likely to pee on the carpet? 6. Does your pup have a sensitive stomach? 7. Is your pup protective towards other dogs? Humans? 8. How many walks a day? 9. Any unique behaviors? 10. Can they stay alone for at least 4 hours? FOR DOGS WHO ARE BOARDING ATTENTION: If your dog is over 50 pounds and is NOT leash trained (pulls, runs around, gets excited, and is hard to control when they see another dog/children/person) and you do not use or are okay with using a Herm Sprenger collar. We are NOT a good match. I live in an apartment and walk dogs in a family neighborhood behind my complex. It is unsafe for your pupper and myself to walk around if I do not have control. Please keep this in mind when booking, as I will not accept pups who go crazy on walks and will ask you to rebook with another sitter or pick them up.
A typical day
As explained above, I enjoy playing and taking them on walks around my suburban neighborhood. But if there is a park or an activity that your dog adores, let me know so I can fit it into our schedule!

Availability
I work a 9-5 job, Monday - Friday. I usually work from the office but can work from home whenever. Friday and Monday are the best days to work remotely for me. But if you let me know beforehand, I can make arrangements. However, arrangements are not to be expected as I do have to go into the office if I have clients coming in.
