Maria has spent her whole life surrounded by house pets and farm animals of every variety. Early on, she was responsible for feeding the cats and dogs. Going through her childhood photos, there are more pictures of her with animals than not. Maria volunteered at our local vet clinic from the age of 13 for over 3 years. She started this on her own and then as part of the high school program as she was interested in pursuing a career as a veterinarian. She has extensive knowledge beyond that of general feeding and welfare of cats and dogs. Everyday chores on a livestock farm were part of her growing up and she has always been reliable and responsible when it comes to the welfare of our animal family.
