Hello everyone, my name is María José and I'm a student living in NYC. I am a 25-year old art student who would love to use my free time taking care of dogs, cats, parrots, hamsters, and more! I've been surrounded by animals all my life... my first pet was a rabbit and years later I got a sweet dog named Tequila. My sister and I used to rescue homeless dogs, take care of them and find them an appropiate home. One day we ended up adopting one ourselves and that doggy named Pistacho joined our family and became Tequila's brother. I was an au pair in The Netherlands and during the year I was there, I had the opportunity of walking and taking care of dogs. I would say that it was one of the best experiences of my life! You can have a look at some of the pictures I have with these dutch fury friends on my profile :) On the other hand, I've been a dog walker and sitter in Madison, NJ for two years as well. Now that I'll be in the city, I know I want to keep spending my time with dogs. All I can say is that through all of my years of experience with animals (especially dogs), I've learned that they are incredibly special, they have a lot of unconditional love to offer and I respect and value them a lot. I enjoy taking them for walks, feeding them, playing with them, and even when I'm doing my homework, they become the best company. I am open on hearing what you want me to do for the welfare of your pet. In case you need it, I can administer medicine (syrup or pills) and maybe teach your friend a few tricks! I believe your pet (most likely a dog or cat) will have a great time with me ... lots of fun! I'll take care of it just as if it was mine. I hope I hear from you soon! María José
