Pet care experience
Growing up, my parents would never let me have a dog for the fear that they would have to take care of it. Despite my 10+ years of running a small pet sitting business, constantly discovering (more like calling for animals and leaving treats out… oops), and helping rehabilitate wild animals, my parents stuck to their guns. Needless to say, I love all animals and I adopted a stray dog as soon as I could. I have years of experience house sitting and pet sitting for dogs, cats, and reptiles. I frequently provided overnight care to my clients and kept care of people’s homes for months at a time. Due to school and getting into the groove of a new job, I had to take a break but I am now looking for new furry faces.

Maria was perfect! She was totally professional and even came to my house to meet my kitties before I left on my four-day trip. She treated them lovingly and sent me photos of them every day. I also really appreciated how she wiped down the face of one of my kitties, whose eyes were having a bit of discharge. I would hire her again in a heartbeat!
Maria took excellent care of our kitten over a long weekend and gave him lots of love. As an added bonus, she brought in the mail!
Maria house sat for us for a weekend and she was amazing! She was very detailed, reliable, responsive, conscientious and caring toward our pets! She even left me a small vase of flowers, which was so thoughtful and a welcome surprise when I returned home! Def will be having Maria again!

I am always changing up my tune to make my sure my clients feel comfortable and safe with me. Should we take a slow stroll down the street with plenty of time to sniff? A brisk walk in a new part of town? Or maybe just some extra time getting to know each other with some belly rubs. I understand every day is a new day which means my clients might need something different every time, flexibility is my middle name.

A typical day
I really enjoy leaving my clients tired and looking forward to a nap. On rainy days, I like to get a dog thinking with treat scavenger hunts or mentally stimulating toys. I love a good game of fetch, tug of war, and long walks. Some of my favorite places to visit are the Jamaica Plain pond and the Harvard Arboretum. For the kitties, I love a playing with lasers, feathers, and ping pong balls! Who can say no to a kitty curling up in your lap for some pets? Or some kitties prefer some sweet talk and treats. I enjoy it all!
