Before sitting for a dog, I would want to know their dietary needs, daily habits (if specific), fears or anxieties especially as they relate to other dogs or children. Are there any issues with accidents of which I should be prepared. I would ask that the owners provide something from home (toy, special blanket, etc) that would give the dog a sense of comfort and security. I have no breed preferences. To me they are all just fun, furry friends. However, my community does have a 40lb weight limit for dogs and, even though these dogs would not residing at my home, I wish to respect the community guidelines. Even though my profile accurately states I do not have children, I do have grandchildren who visit or stay with me periodically. Prior to accepting any requests, I will inform the pet owner if the children will be with me.

I live in a 55+ community and it seems there is always someone walking their dog(s). It is a great place to walk and meet and greet others. One of my favorite places is the dog park. Jervey Grant Park has a wonderful dog park and it is within a 10 minute drive of my home. I have no problem having a friend cuddle up with me, even at bedtime.
