Pet care experience
I have recently returned to NYC after several years abroad in Singapore, where I lived with two sweet little kitties and daily walked two rescue pooches -- all of whom I sadly had to say goodbye to when I moved back to the United States. I have grown up with both dogs and cats ever since I was 3 years old, which gives me over 30 years of experience with our furry friends! I am currently working remotely, which allows me to be pretty flexible with my time and fortunately provides me the opportunity to spend a lot of devoted and dedicated time to any doggie that I am looking after. I have extensively looked after all breeds of puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats, including mostly rescue pooches that unfortunately have often been exposed to prior trauma. I love meeting all dogs and have a surrogate dog in DC called Dundee (he's the handsome chap in my profile pic!), but as I am primarily based in NYC, I am keen to spend time with other pups in need of some love and attention whilst their owners are either at work or away. I look forward to hearing from you!

Maria was the absolute best! My husband and I booked her on short notice which she was able to accommodate. As an anxious dog mom I can say she provided the best care for my fur babies (one of which is on several oral medications). Maria sent many picture updates which we greatly appreciated! We will definitely be asking her to watch them again.
Maria did a great job looking after our 3 month old puppy and was very patient with her! We received photo and video updates and would definitely have her back!

She is wonderful!! A lovely and caring cat/dog sitter. Maria took care of my older cats and young dog so beautifully while I was away. She really cares and takes her responsibility very seriously and with love! I am so grateful that I was lucky enough to have her take care of my fur babies and hope to use her again.

I have two wonderful kittens at home, so the only hiccup I would have is taking in a pup to stay at my place, as my kitties are wary of dogs.

I don't mind if your dog is high energy or slightly high maintenance -- any breed is welcome, just let me know what your pup's preferences are! I guess if there are any neighbourhood dogs that you know your pet specifically doesn't get along with, I'd like to be alerted of that ahead of time so that I don't inadvertently allow your pet to get into any unnecessary altercations whilst I am responsible for your four-legged loved one.
A typical day
I am used to extremely energetic dogs and am perfectly willing to take your loved ones for as many walks as he or she might need, and am thrilled to play with your dog plentifully. Depending on the neighbourhood, I will try to seek out some nice grassy areas for your dog(s) to play. I am happy to engage in whatever activities your pet prefers -- Dundee is an avid frisbee player and ball catcher!

I work remotely from home so am relatively flexible with making myself available either for dog walks, dog and cat sitting, as well as longer term house stays with your four legged furry friends!
