Pet care experience

Hi everyone! A little bit about me: I’m free from 7am-9:30am to take care of your adorable babies. I’m really excited to meet more pets! Animals are God’s little angels 💕 My experience: I have had dogs since I was 11yrs old, so that’s about 12 years of experience. Also, my friends and family have entrusted me with their dogs, cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, fishes, turtles, lizards, etc lol. I LOVE puppies, so if you have one, trust that they will be in good hands. I have had two puppies so far, so I totally get the teething phase. If they have a few accidents, I wouldn’t mind cleaning up! Same goes for senior pets! I believe dogs have lived their whole lives giving us unconditional love, so it’s our duty to do the same, especially once they are older. I understand how important it is to maintain a consistent walking/feeding schedule and to be patient with pets. Especially since I am a stranger to them, I know to let them come to me first, so I don’t scare them! Also, I know how separation anxiety affects pets, so I try to be mindful of what they might need. Maybe some cuddles, belly rub, relaxing music, light running, a walk, and/or playing!

Maria's support was absolutely instrumental in us being able to take care of Henry. She began her drop-in visits when he was 8 weeks old and could only be left alone for very short periods of time. Maria was wonderful in her care and constant communication (she always sent the funniest photos of him). We can't imagine how we'd have juggled our busy careers and puppy care schedule without her help. We've shared our rave reviews with neighbors who also have dog care needs. Maria, thank you for all that you've done to take care Henry, you're definitely one of his favorite humans!

Maria has been phenomenal with my dog, Naomi. I have used Maria twice so far and everytime she comes through. She is very dependable and is able to accommodate. She has taken well care of my dog on the times I have to be out of town, and I always feel relaxed knowing she is in good hands with Maria. Thank you again Maria for being such a great dog sitter and coming through last minute when I need you. I’ll continue to use Maria, when I need her!

Great sitter!! Cannot recommend her enough. She flawlessly handled my nervous dog (and his nervous mother). Great communication while I was away and plenty of pics.

Maria was a wonderful cat sitter when my husband and I were out of town. She was communicative and it was clear from the meet & greet that Pumpkin was a big fan of her. I loved receiving the daily updates and photos that Maria provided!

I always like to check the house before I leave to make sure the animals aren’t able to get into anything or reach any foods or toxic chemicals. I take away any toys that will most likely get ripped and put them into a box or drawer. While I am with the animals, I keep my eyes on them at all times to make sure they don’t have an accident, eat something they’re not supposed to, or destroy furniture. Finally, I make sure to give them lots of love of course so they feel safe and cared for.

I think it’s important to mentally and physically stimulate your pets, so I’ll make sure to play with their toys, make them run, and take them on walks!

Every day, I feed my dog, Cloud, twice, and I walk him at least 3 times. He has water available to him all day. Throughout the day, I let him out in the backyard, so he can get some sunshine and fulfill his zoomies. When I’m not doing my college course work, I groom him or play with him, especially with his favorite ball! I try to groom him every 3 days or so and try to go to the dog park or on a trail once every two weeks! Oh and I love to arrange doggy play dates for him to have extra fun with his friends. By the time he was one and a half years old, I was able to teach him how to “sit”, “lay down”, “roll over”, “stick em up”, “paw”, and “kiss.”
