I'll love your dog as my own
Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Maria. I am a joyful animal lover from Mexico City. I currently don't have any pets, but back in Mexico I grew up taking care of my two Malinois dogs, Goldi and Soleil, who actually passed away recently, Goldi was 17 years old and Soleil was 15. They had a really good life and brough my family and I SO MUCH HAPPINESS. I used to love taking them for walks, teaching them new tricks, petting them on their favourite spots and cuddling with them. When they were full of energy, we played soccer, fetch, tug of war, and "catch me if you can" all the time! They also loved swimming and doing agility circuits. We also trained then in obedience ourselves, they were such smart dogs! They even won prices in amateur competitions. I remember one time my family and I had to leave them at a doggie hotel when we went away for a few days. We were expecting the best of treatments, but when we came back we realized they had kept them in a small cage the entire time! We were outraged! Therefore, I understand how hard it is to entrust your beloved dog to someone else and how infuriating it can be to come back and find out that your fury baby didn't get the treatment it deserved. So I assure you, if you leave your pet with me, I will do everything I can to make him/her feel at home and give him/her all the love he/she needs so he/she doesn't miss you too much.
Reviews
She is really nice and kind. My dog has seperate anxiety, and really shy doggy. But she really take care of him well. Now they are good friend! I am so happy to have this girl as my dog's sitter.
MarÃa is my cousin so I know her since she was a baby. She is very responsible, and she loves and cares so much for animals. She has two dogs, two cats, and a bunch of turtles and fish. That's why I think she would be an excellent dog sitter :)

I love all sorts of dogs, but in order to take care of him/her as you do, I'd like to know a couple of things: - Does he/she have any allergies? - Does he/she take any medication? Do you have a preferred method to give it to him/her? - At what time do you usually feed him/her and take him/her for a walk? - Is your dog potty trained? - Are there any tricks you are trying to teach him/her that you would like me to keep practicing? - Does he/her have any naughty habits I should be aware of or that I should try to correct? - Do you ever scold your dog? If you do, how do you usually scold him/her? - What is he/she afraid of? - Do you let your dog sleep on your bed? - What are his/her favourite rubbing/scratching spots? - What is his/her favourite treat? - Would you like me to give him/her a bath and clip his/her nails? Could you provide the nail clipper?
A typical day
I live in a house near the Rideau Canal, Experimental Farm and Mooney's Bay, so where we go for a walk really depends on what your dog likes doing. Is he/she strong and active? We can go for a run next to the Canal. Is he/she old and tired like my Goldi in her final years? We can walk up to the nearest patch of grass and turn around. On top of that, I have a good sized garden, so we can play fetch, tug of war, frisbee, "catch me if you can", etc. My dogs also enjoyed jumping over our broomstick, so if you have a jumper, you can bet we will have fun with an improvised agility circuit.
