I have been working in and around animal care for 20+ years. Hounds, horses and small animals. If you're looking for premium, attentive and quality care with daily outdoor park excursions in Slottskogan, Ängggårdsbergen,Botaniska, you found it. My husband John makes up the other half of our dynamic doggie duo creating a Swedish/American household for all your dog needs. Your family member(s) is instantly like our own and will receive heartfelt individualized care. Me: a friendly professional creative individual with a background in education and the arts + animal management and care; half country half city that's me. I originated from Seattle in the US and recently relocated to Sweden. Jag talar lite svenska, and the dogs don't mind but I am impossibly far from fluent. Ursäkta. John: Architect in training at Chalmers, a creative and technical type with a passion for nature and design, a true Smålänning! Gentle and kind, dogs sense this and love him instantly, even our more neurotic & nervous, fear prone dog friends. I'm passionate about animals and my home is completely open to the comfort of your pet. Cleanliness is always a priority, but all sofas and spaces are doggie approved unless you request otherwise for consistent training. I follow standard doggie pack rules of respect, no nasty business, play well with others etc., affection is plentiful and absolute unless it's encouraging undesirable behavior. From precious rescued friends to highly prized show/breeder dogs, I have experience with many shapes, sizes, breeds, medical concerns and behavioural tendencies; from the sweet & docile to our more challenging or sickly companions. Maria was amazing! She communicates well and has a deep knowledge of dogs. Dale had a really great day! I would highly recommend.
Maria did a great job when Simba was staying with her. She sent us several pictures and reports per day. Simba. A lot of activities and training with him. We had a happy and much more trained and well-behaving puppy back.

I need to know absolutely everything there is to know about your dogs habits and tendencies, good and bad. I have no breed or size preference and I have experience with multiple breed types and personalities. I always encourage a meeting and introduction to my home or other dogs I may have in care at the time of the request. I have regular dogs off of Rover and need to carefully coordinate anny request for multiple dog care. It is always a case by case situation as to whether multiple dogs is a good fit, I won't jeopardize the safety of my dogs to take on multiple bookings. The most important aspect of dog care is the safety then well being for your dog and the people your dog interacts with. I can't have compulsive barkers or aggressive dogs due to my lagenhet community.
A typical day
We live in a dog friendly area with immediate access to green space and 5- 10 minutes from Slottes and Änggårdsbergen. We hike daily for 2-3 hours depending on dogs activity level. Plus- many little walks in the immediate area. Then it's mostly relaxing in the house under constant supervision. Depending on client and dog needs I provide training support, grooming, medical support and of course good pets and belly rubs if needed. Often the dog(s) provide- polite - kitchen support / sous chef duty- again depending on your dog's regular homelife. Bottom line is they are with me, not in kennel, getting one on one personalised home care.
