Pet care experience
I have been taking care of animals big and small for over 6 years. I have always had a strong passion in caring for all animals. I was volunteer of the year for SAPA in 2022. I believe pets are extended family members, and should be treated as so.

We had an amazing experience with Mari. We have two large pups and one of our pups is very anxious and needs an experienced in home sitter. Mari honestly exceeded my expectations. She gave our anxious dog Dunkin enough time to feel comfortable. Dunkin even let Mari pet him and gave her kisses. We were so surprised because Dunkin usually can’t be touched by anyone but myself and my husband. Mari also sent us updated and pictures daily. Both pups looked happy in all the pictures and videos she sent. We had an amazing experience and highly recommend Mari as a dog sitter! We’ll for sure book her again.
Mari is wonderful with animals! She loves pets and takes excellent care of them. She is so caring & trustworthy, and I have complete trust in her to take the best care of my animals when I’m out of town.
We have had a great experience with Mari overtime. Our experience of her is that she is a consistent and reliable professional who is truly a "dog whisperer"! Mari seemed to effortlessly bond with our dogs and to bring out the best in them. She sees their individual strengths and weaknesses and accepts and loves them while finessing them at the right times and standing firm when that's what is called for. We have two dogs and the youngest is a rescue who is shy and easily frightened with the result that she has difficulty bonding with non-family members, yet Mari is one of her favorite humans!...she is cooperative and happy rather than mulish under Mari's care and direction. Mari is wonderful with, and a natural, with our dogs! We have consistently had a very good experience with Mari's love and care for our pets.
I trust Mari more with the care of my dogs than I would most of my family! She is conscientious and responsible. I have an elderly dog who comes with her own set of quirks and several medications, I never worry about her when Mari is around. I know she will administer her meds and make sure my old lady has everything she needs. Along with caring for my other pup who can be quite the mischief maker, there was a time when she got into something she shouldn't have and Mari was right there to take care of her and clean up her messes. Mari is a natural around animals and they feel comfortable her presence, I cannot recommend her enough.

It is important for me to know of any medications I may have to administer to the dogs throughout my stay. I like to think ahead to be better prepared in case of an emergency that could arise. I request that owners leave a phone number to their pet’s veterinarian.
A typical day
I follow any instructions that owners give me in hopes to leave some normalcy for the dogs. As most pets tend to get nervous while owners are away, I try to avoid any environments that may overwhelm them. It is important for me to have the owners input before taking any dogs out of the house. Once I receive approval from their owners, I love to explore new parks and allow the dogs to get good mental and physical stimulation.

I am currently a full time college student, which allows me to have breaks throughout my day. I offer weekday services as well as weekends.
