I have a special soft spot for shy/anxious kitties as my own cat is very skittish around new people and loud noises! I know how important it is for these cats to form a relationship with someone before they feel like they can trust them, especially during times when their family is away, and I would love to be that person for your pet. 💖 I also love dogs, reptiles, and amphibians, and I’m always interested in learning more about other pets such as birds, fish, rabbits, rats, ferrets, and more! As long as you provide me with specific instruction for a pet I haven’t taken care of before, I’m open minded and excited to learn how to meet their needs!

Mari is a wonderful cat-sitter! She took great care of my cats and was very patient and understanding of their different personalities. During our meet & greet, we worked out how often to provide updates and she delivered with both photos and details during the stay. I felt safe knowing that she was taking care of my cats and could triage any issues if needed. I highly recommend Mari to other pet owners and would definitely rebook in the future!

Whether that’s extra playtime for playful personalities, small/quiet movements and a laid-back approach for anxious kitties, or spending time petting and cuddling with pets who just want someone to snuggle with, my favorite part about pet-sitting is getting to know so many different individuals and settling into a routine that’s customized just for them!

Please let me know if your pet has any special needs or if there are any specific things I should watch out for! If you have the time, it would also be super helpful to leave a written reminder of serving size for your pet’s food, how many treats they typically receive, or any other important information I should know! (Like which trash can I should use after cleaning the litter box, the location of cleaning supplies in case someone has a hairball, vacuum/broom location for cleaning, etc.)
A typical day
I know dry feeders and litter boxes (even the automatic ones!) can be messy sometimes, so while pet-sitting I try to keep the area neat by sweeping/vacuuming as needed and taking out the trash once things get full. I’m also happy to bring in any packages or mail you get delivered and put it wherever you’d like me to leave it during drop-ins or housesitting, so just let me know if you’re expecting anything!

I work remotely from 9-5, so I’m available to petsit from anywhere as long as I can connect to wifi! I‘m happy to either drop by for visits during the day or stay overnight depending on what option works best for you and your pets.
