Hello and thank you for your interest in my profile! I am a professional writer who works from home. I am a lifelong pet owner and a longtime professional pet sitter. I have taken care of all kinds of breeds, temperaments, and training levels. I am very safe with dogs and love to get to know them. I will take care of your dog and cater to its personal needs! I know being left at home can be hard on a dog and will make sure yours feels loved and safe. I love to walk, so if they are into it they will get plenty of exercise. I will follow your directions exactly, from food to bedtimes, whatever their routine is, I will keep it intact.

Mari was a lifesaver! It was such a last minute booking I became nervous that I was not going to find someone in time - I reached out to Mari who was extremely sweet and accommodating! She came over to meet our Baci girl beforehand and Baci felt comfortable with Mari from the beginning. She stayed with Baci all weekend and took great care of her (loved all the pictures from their walks) - I highly recommend Mari and will absolutely be using her in the future! Thanks again, Mari!!

I’m overly cautious with foods (or anything a dog might think is food) and keep them well out of reach. Leashes and toys go back where they belong and cat boxes are kept meticulously clean.

Let me know if there are any behaviors your working on correcting with your dog. How are they around other people? Other dogs? What tricks and games do they enjoy? How are they with heat?
A typical day
I enjoy getting to know pets. I use attention and (if allowed) treats for training. I’ve taken training classes and believe in working with dogs to teach them how to keep themselves and others safe and that good behavior leads to more fun. I don’t trust dog parks and tend to be overly cautious around other dogs. I think the walk is for the dog and unless we’re crossing a street I let them stop and sniff the world around them (unless you’re working on getting them to walk without distraction).

Availability
I work on my own schedule and work around the pets needs. If they want to go for a walk, we go. I adjust my daily routine to any schedule already in place.
