Loving your pets just like you do!

Pet care experience

Hello! I am a retired nurse who has always had dogs (at least two at a time) and cats, and am eager to love on your babies when you need an extra hand. I adore pets of all kinds, all sizes, and all personalities! I have also provided foster care placement for dog rescue groups, so am familiar with how best to welcome new pets and make them feel comfortable in our home.

Oreo lives her best life at Maris house. Friends to play with and lots of attention. Mari always goes the extra mile to ensure Oreo is taken care of. I highly recommend her.

Mari deserves 10 stars. She really goes the extra mile to make your pet feel at home and keep you updated on how your pet is handling the new environment. I look forward to booking with her again. Oreo had a blast and felt right at home.

As always, our pups enjoy their stay with Mari. She takes good care of them and sends me updates often, along with pictures. Both my boys are very happy after their time there. ❤️

Mari was fantastic. I left my highly energetic dog with her for 3 days. She sent lots of updates and photos of him getting his zoomies on in her large, fenced yard. Plus a few of him chilling. Would definitely recommend. My dog got along great with her dogs and it seemed like a fun play date for him.

Safety, trust & environment

Our dogs are mostly inside, except for frequent potty breaks, exercise, and exploring around our fully fenced property. There is plenty of room for them to spread out and find a place of their own, or to romp and play together. Often, I will bring our guest pups inside for some one on one time with me while our other dogs are busy outside. PLEASE NOTE: Our property is fenced with a 5’ vinyl fence with additional chicken wire between the slats. However, if you know that your dog is a jumper OR A DIGGER, this may not provide enough security to keep them in the yard. In addition, although I am happy to accept dogs that are not spayed, please do not bring your dog if she is in heat or close to her cycle. She will attract neighborhood dogs (and coyotes in the area) interested in mating, and any type of fence will not deter them. Regarding puppies: We are unfortunately not able to provide care in our home for puppies who are not COMPLETELY housetrained. This is important so the puppy can maintain consistent training in your home environment and not be confused or stressed on a different home, and potentially lose some of the progress they’ve made. If your pup comes to our home not totally housetrained, I will have to add an additional charge for clean ups and increased time needed to take the pup outside for more frequent breaks. Thank you for understanding our limitations! We love all dogs, but want to make sure it’s a good fit for everyone. Our main concern is providing a safe, secure, and fun environment while your pup is with us! 🐾

Information Mari C. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your pup has any special likes and dislikes... we'll try our best to make pups feel comfortable and accommodate their needs. If you can, please bring your pup’s bed, blankets, toys, food bowls… whatever you think will help them feel at home. If they are anxious or nervous, I can bring them into the bedroom at night to provide a sense of security and reduce their stress.

A typical day

We have 1.5 acres of property that our dogs love to explore when they go out several times a day. We have a large area to throw balls and work out some of the wiggles, and can take walks around the neighborhood.

Availability

I am home most every day. My husband and I live with our 3 dogs, (and our son’s dog, temporarily) on a 1.5 fully fenced acreage between Jerome and Twin Falls. Our dogs are all used to playmates of all sizes, and are very well socialized. We have four adult children who visit occasionally, and each of them love dogs and bring their own when they visit.
