We could not be more happy with our experience with Margot! She provides such reliable and excellent care that it really gives us peace of mind about leaving our dog Maggie during the day. Margot makes sure to provide us with a report on how each walk went along with a picture. She is prompt, reliable, and trustworthy. I am so thankful to have found Margot on this site!
This is the first time I have used a "Dog-Walking Service", I was a little nervous and a bit skeptical but, I needed the service at such a last minute time frame. I googled dog walking services in my area and I found Rover.com. I seen Margot's profile, read her reviews, looked at her experience, looked at the pictures, PLUS she was very reasonable. I was able to meet with her the next day ...
Margot was great with our dogs. We appreciated the good care she took of our babies while we were at work.
Walks and Visits, wide open!
Domestic dogs have been a part of my life as pets ever since I was a child- I have cared for large breed, small breed, and newborn pups as well. Thanks to that exposure, I have earned a chance to work for two years, and going, as an Animal Caretaker at an adoption center.
I do my best to provide comfort and attention for those creatures in the shelter's custody, whether that is arranging blankets ...
What Margot would like to know about your dog
Before sitting or walking, I would like to know how a dog is with other dogs, if they react to wildlife (squirrels, birds, rabbits, etc) and to what extent, and if there are any other "quirks" that are notable.
I am not put off by any dog size, be them 3 or 130 pounds.
A dog's breed is also no issue, particularly when it comes to pit bulls; I own a pit-mastiff mix, myself, and will not refuse an offer because the dog is a pit or pit mix.
I also understand how to handle a dog that may be aggressive with other dogs/animals, and am comfortable using dog handling tools such as no-pull harnesses, headcollars, chokes, or prongs at the owner's request. I prefer to use fixed length nylon or chain leashes, not retractable versions, but those can be worked with.
