Hello, I’m Margarida 😊 I have been a petsitter for cats/dogs for 2 years now. I have been working with animals for 10+ years, including doing foster services, and I spent last year working as a veterinary assistant. Experience: I have 10 + years of cat fostering experience. I’ve fostered cats/kittens from all areas of life and socialization stages. From newborns; to pregnant mothers/in labor; to cats with physical/neurological disabilities; to elderly cats; as well as rescues in need of socialization. I can proudly say every cat I've fostered has always gone to a forever home and it warms my heart to see rescued animals become friendly and sociable with humans. I worked this last year as a vet assistant for Community Mobile Vet in Santa Cruz. My job consisted of restraining and handling cats and dogs of various sizes, as well as birds and other animals. Medications: I can administer vaccines, collect urine/fecal samples, and administer oral medications/supplements. Services: Bottle feeding, administering medication, cleaning up waste, basic grooming, exercise, and socializing cats/dogs of various sizes/ages/abilities. Being a vet assistant, I have to be prepared for the unexpected and take specific precautions with every animal I meet. It's extremely important to be aware of any triggers or risks in an environment so I can be accommodating to the pet I am caring for. I like to provide a very friendly and attentive environment where I can gauge what their needs are at a given moment. This includes being accommodating to a pet’s social/behavioral needs and give them the ability to warm up to me.

It's important to know your dogs' socialization habits, i.e. if they are friendly with other dogs/people, as well as their energy levels and favorite activities. Of course, any specific conditions or accommodations relating to your dog is always important to know.
A typical day
All pets have their unique personalities, and I love being able to bring out their energy and excitement whether it's through exercise, walking, or playing! I love outdoor activities such as taking going to the park, on hikes, or swimming. And I enjoy cuddling and playing with toys.
