Pet care experience
Let's be real: I love dogs more than I love people; I've been around dogs my whole life and they tend to gravitate towards me which I take as a huge compliment. I have a very flexible schedule and a lot of experience with different sizes and temperaments of pups, so I look forward to having some more furry exercise buddies who won't make fun of my bad jokes! I have experience with hesitant or antisocial dogs as well, and I'm happy to take your lead if there are any training techniques you are currently using with them. I like to know all the little details about likes/dislikes/habits, and I prefer to let the dogs choose their own walking route and take their time smelling the roses; it's their playtime after all! My day job is remote, so I am flexible and can work from home while keeping your dog company. I'm also a professional musician, so will occasionally be out of town for tours, or have an evening rehearsal or performance to attend. I typically do not dog sit on those days, unless I know the animal and know that they are either happy to be alone for a few hours, or enjoy music and would like to tag along to a practice. My priority when pet sitting is to be present with your pet, keeping them both calm and entertained. I like to talk to them a lot so they get used to me quickly and feel at ease, and I like to know as much about their typical habits as possible so I can observe if anything is out of the ordinary. I am certified in pet first aid and CPR via ProTrainings, and my mom is a veterinary technician, so I always have her on stand by just in case of emergency.

Margaret was wonderful! She cared for our kitty and our home above and beyond. She came over ahead of time to meet us and get the scoop on kitty and the house. She was very understanding and flexible when our plans were possibly going to change because of illness, but luckily they didn’t need to! We came home to a clean and tidy home! She also put clean sheets on the bed and left us the BEST Thanksgiving stuffing in the fridge, which was a delicious treat after traveling. We would love to have Margaret back to care for our home and kitty again any time!! Thank you Margaret! 😊

A typical day
I like to let the dogs make most of the choices on where we walk, since it's for their benefit and enjoyment. We'll try to hit up any parks in the area to get in some running and/or fetch time too! If they are big on cuddles, I'm all for it. Whatever is going to make their day a little better while their favorite person is away.
