Pet care experience
I have been a proud dog owner for over four years to a shepherd mix named Lou. Before Lou came into my world, I worked as a dog walker in San Francisco for a few years through Wag!. I have experience working with dogs that are leash reactive, geriatric, or have special healthcare needs. In the summer of 2021 I worked at the Rockfish Valley Veterinary Clinic as their Boarding Manager where I took care of boarded animals (dogs, cats, and a rabbit!). I'm comfortable with many breeds and am familiar with dispensing medication or otherwise tending to personalized circumstance. I enjoy taking dogs on hikes or swims when appropriate. Any excuse to get on a trail for a stroll, I'll take it. I like staying active and love spending time with new dogs, so this work is mostly very rewarding for me.

Our dog absolutely adores Margaret! She has taken care of our dog on several occasions, and she always makes sure that he gets lots of exercise and plenty of affection while we are away. It's nice to know someone we trust so well with our pet. I highly recommend Margaret's pet sitting services!

I love taking dogs to the river, especially my own dog. It's fun for me to feel out what your dog likes/needs: fast or slow paced walks, needing to sniff a lot, needing a lot of verbal affirmation or rewards etc.

I'm currently working part-time as a book artist and barista. I have wide and flexible availability for the month of October 2023.
