My 10-year-old daughter and I are pet lovers who have had animals our whole lives. I grew up with a giant, crazy golden retriever and several cats, along with hamsters, rats, fish, salamanders, and frogs. My family currently has two cats, one frog, a gecko, several fish, and one honorary "cousin" dog who is often at our house. We pet sit for my family's dog and cats, as well as our neighbor's small dog. We love all animals and would love to help take care of yours to give my daughter some work experience and a chance to spend time with animals, since she wants to be a vet or a marine biologist when she grows up.
