Pet care experience
I was fortunate to spend 4 years at Pennsylvania State University experiencing and learning companion and exotic animal: care, nutrition and behavior. Since graduation I have worked 2 and 1/2 years as a veterinarian’s assistant and receptionist, which has given me great experiences. Additionally, since I was in high school I have enjoyed pet sitting for my friends and neighbors, I have started pet sitting for my clinic’s clients and would be happy to do more for the community.

Margaret was absolutely wonderful with our two dogs! She was kind and understanding with our grouchy old dog, even coming to our house before we left so she could meet him. She sent me daily pictures of what they were up to. When we came home, both dogs were excited but not stressed. We will be using Margaret every time we need a dog sitter!
Margaret watched my 4 dogs for a weekend and did a great job. A few of the dogs can be very shy with strangers but Margaret came to visit before the dates she watched the dogs to let them get to know her. She cared for the dogs, sent me pictures and updates during her care period and did stay overnight for 2 nights. She cleaned up after the dogs in the dog yard and everything was just perfect when I returned. Margaret was great and I would recommend her without any doubt.
Margaret is so caring and attentive to our English Bulldog, Brownie Cooper. Brownie Cooper has an enlarged esophagus, so he requires some extra TLC, and Margaret is able to provide what he needs, so he is healthy and happy. Brownie Cooper loves Margaret and we are grateful for her!
Margaret pet sits for me on a regular basis, and always flexible with my schedule. She does very well with my 2 big dogs, even though they are difficult to handle. Margaret never seems to be flustered or overwhelmed by them. She is always patient, and knows how to calm the dogs down. I would highly recommend her.

I follow their normal eating, exercise and bathroom habits as well as providing a caring and safe environment anywhere my services are needed.

A typical day
I stimulate the pets mentally and physically with walks and treat rewarding games. I have a run in half my yard and also a nice park I take my dogs to just a few houses down from mine.

Availability
I am currently working 3 and 1/2 days during the week. I am completely open on Wednesdays, Thursday mornings and weekends. However, with at least 2 weeks notice I can be flexible about the days I have off my full time job.
