Here for a great walk or pet sit!
Pet care experience
I’m committed to a great walk or pet sit with a focus on safety and trust building. I’m diligent, reliable, and responsible, a prompt communicator and thorough planner. I balance my animal care with my other commitments always give advance notice of conflicts. I've got my own beloved cat, Lillet and absolutely adore dogs! I worked for an LLC walking and pet sitting and I bring what I learned with me. I encourage a consultation visit before I begin caring for your beloved pet. I'm also fully covid vaccinated and boosted!
Reviews
Margaret has taken care of my dog Remy for a couple weekends while I was away and has done an amazing job! I really appreciated all the updates and pics of Remy, and I can tell Remy is in good hands. Already booked for more house sitting!
Margaret is great at sharing frequent updates and sending us pictures throughout the stay. We know we can trust our home and dog in her care. Would highly recommend.
Margaret was wonderful, such a pleasure to communicate with, provided great updates and photos of Bo while we were gone, and took great care of the place. Bo was obviously well taken care of and very happy upon our return, would love to have Margaret stay with him again in the future.
Margaret is the best dog/house sitter! We have booked her multiple times now and will continue to do so! She is great with our dogs, super communicative and gives a lot of updates. She also takes amazing care of our home and treats it like her own.

Safety, trust & environment
For dog walks, I can send a text before and after the walk and photos so you know everything is safe and sound! I’ve got my own poop bags and treats, unless you have preferred treats of course. I can provide my own leash, but prefer to use yours since it’s what your pup knows. We always stop, sit, look both ways before crossing the street. Unless I know your dog well and you have given me the “ok, my dog is friendly”, I don’t approach other people and their dogs on walks. For dog sits and cat sits, a list for food instructions, medical needs, vet numbers, and where toys live is helpful. Also where to dump litter and poop bags!
Information Margaret H. would like to know about your pet
I strongly encourage a meet and greet consultation. Other important information includes name, address and phone number of your dogs vet and if your dog is friendly or not with other dogs and people, any medical needs or health concerns, feeding and treating instructions, and where the toys and brushes live is also important information. Will you have phone service where you are traveling (though not required) and personal emergency contacts.
A typical day
A typical dog walk consists of taking a walk around your pup’s neighborhood. Treating more during the first walks together and building trust. I also like to get an idea of the neighborhood I'm in. I've got experience walking in Fremont to Mount Baker, Madrona to Magnolia & Ballard. For pet sits, I make sure water bowls are full, enough food is out or properly prepared and served. For dog sits we’ll usually play, go over some light training or relax depending on your dogs needs. For cats, everything with food and water is checked same as would be for dogs. We will play, have a nice brushing session or relax.

**do you need pet care over the holidays?? Let me know!** I’m a movement and visual artist based in Seattle, WA. Currently in graduate school, remotely. What I love about walking and pet sitting is the flexibility in schedule. Dog walking and pet sitting can be done within a timeframe which I find works well for my schedule and yours. I also why I try to stay with the same clients, if it’s a good match. I'd love to get to know your fury friend! I’m currently open to booking weekly repeating clients!
