Kind and Reliable Pet Sitter!
Pet care experience
Hi! I have over 20 yrs experience caring for cats and dogs. I pride myself on my reliability, integrity, compassion and good judgment. I am comfortable working with cats and dogs of different ages and breeds. I will also watch special needs pets, if I feel it is within my skill set to do so. Dogs: I have significant dog sitting experience in addition to having had two of my own - one of whom needed a great deal of training, trust and confidence building when adopted. I am comfortable doing light training and providing enrichment activities. Cats: I also have significant cat experience, such as cat sitting, day visits, fostering and TNR. I’ve had two cats of my own, both adopted as kittens. I am attuned to the different enrichment needs cats have, and I work to ensure they are stimulated and happy.
Reviews
Margaret took care of our cat for a week. We discussed details in advance through video and phone calls which helped us feel comfortable about the living situation. She was communicative through the week and sent us regular updates via text. Our cat seemed comfortable at her house and became friends with her family members quickly. Overall good experience working with Margaret.
Margaret is super responsive and detailed! She’s flexible and caring and loves our little guy!
Margaret is fantastic! Wonderful with our dog and such a professional! Can’t recommend her enough!
Great job was on time and kept me updated the whole time. Would recommend to anyone looking for a walker

*Note that my ability to board dogs is limited and is dependent on my resident cat’s reaction to your dog. A meet and greet is always required before booking.* I ensure my house is proactively set up to meet the needs of your pet and ensure their safety along with the safety of my resident cat. Boarded dogs will stay comfortably in the kitchen and on the first floor of the house with their bed, crate if applicable, food and toys to make them comfortable. Boarded cats can also be confined to the first floor or a nice room with a door, depending on your preference. Our resident cat is friendly with other cats, but dog boarding arrangements MUST be tested ahead of time.

Information Margaret B. would like to know about your pet
I like to know about your pet’s basic temperament; are they friendly, fearful, energetic, etc. I like to know what training (if any) they’ve had, the commands and redirects you use. I like to know what motivates your pet as well as their triggers. I additionally ask about dietary needs, allergies, medical conditions or special medications I will need to administer.
A typical day
I try to mirror your cat or dog’s typical day with you as much as possible by following their normal routine. When sitting or boarding, I try to build in ample rest and play time. I love providing pets fun activities to move their bodies and stimulate their mind. In addition to short and long walks, I like to offer training / learning related play (such as puppy push-ups, find the treat) as well as physical fun (such as fetch, tug, cat fishing pole). I also like to offer self-initiated play options, such as activity mats, kongs, scratching posts.
