The PAW'nd-erosa, West of Loveland

Pet care experience

The PAW’nd-erosa, a place for your pooch to stay and play ...providing care for small dogs only (under 30#) …where your doggie(s) can feel at home while hanging out in a quiet country setting with our family …for a few hours, a day (or two or three or more), for a week (or two) or pretty much whatever you need! PET REQUIREMENTS: Daycare and boarding for small dogs only Strongly prefer to meet first-time guests to ensure a good fit for all All ages and (gentle, well-behaved) pups *under 30#* welcome Guests must be up-to-date on vaccinations Dogs *must* be house-broken, kennel-trained -and- gentle No "drooling" dogs, please Special TLC for Seniors Every attempt made to meet any pet’s needs ABOUT ME: From the moment I heard about DogVacay (now Rover), I knew how I wanted to fill my time during retirement. My hubby and I have been dog owners all our lives and in our 42-year-marriage, our home has been “home away from home” for many four-legged friends. The PAW'nd-erosa provides personalized, caring, in-home pet services to folks with small dogs that they do not get from kennels. OUR HOME: • Fenced yard • Pets allowed on furniture • Great for all ages • Smoke-free environment • Air conditioned inside • Guest kennels available (inside, next to our doggie’s kennels). For the safety of your dog(s), all dogs (including ours) will be kenneled if I must leave the house. • HOURS: Drop-offs and pick-ups between 9a and 6p, please (to give our current guests the attention and care you desire). Please extend the stay if you need drop-off or pick-up between 6p and 9a. We have lived on The POND-erosa (a tad bit under three acres)--(5 miles) West of Loveland for 28+ years. No need to travel to town to the dog park: Our dogs have a large house and a huge, fully fenced, back yard to run and play (and the fence is high). OUR RESIDENT PETS: Currently we have two dogs who love having other friends to play with: • Chewie, a male Norfolk Terrier mix, age 3-ish (a rescue adopted from ARR/Animal Rescue of the Rockies) • Addy, the female Brittany Spaniel, age 9, who came to live with us because she would not stay in her yard in Denver Our dogs are kennel-trained, and we need our guests to be also, so please bring your dog’s “home” (and their bed and/or blanket) when you visit. We have found that kennels provide a spot where dogs feel safe and can rest when they need quiet time (kennel doors are always left open unless I must leave for a bit). I prefer to meet guests prior to being a first-time boarder to ensure a good fit. Since I welcome boarders into every aspect of our lives, and want them to be “part of the family”, I want everyone to feel comfortable during their visit to The PAW’nd-erosa. (Slightly higher Holiday rates apply during these peak times of the year.) NOTE to REPEAT GUESTS: Should my calendar appear booked, please reach out to me. It may be that some guests are leaving and some are arriving on a given day which makes me appear "full" when I really am not. I do not want to miss an opportunity to care for your pup(s) again (we LOVE our repeat guests!).

Our little Gigi loves to go and stay with Ms Marg and her doggie friends. She is always well cared for and Marg sends us a lot of pictures during her stay. Honestly I think she might be having a better time on her vacation with Marg than we are on ours sometimes.

Highly recommend Marg and Dave's Pawnderosa! Our 2 pups stayed for 2 weeks while we were on vacation and were cared for very well. Marg really knows dogs and genuinely cares about dogs. She made sure new dog intros went smoothly, and she was very observant of our dogs' likes, dislikes, idiosychrocies, etc. She sent regular updates and pics and even followed up afterwards to check how the pups were doing once they were back home. Excellent service!!!
