Hi there! Born in South Africa, matured in Qatar and currently a second year Veterinary Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, I am passionate about the wellbeing and health of all animals placed in my care. Having been exposed with a range of animal species from a young age, ranging from dogs and cats, to equine and tortoises, I believe that every animal has the right to be treated with respect and humility. I have had multiple pets of my own over the past 19 years ranging from tortoises, cats, dogs, rabbits, parrots, and even a bunch of fish. Back in Qatar, I currently have 2 cats who I miss dearly, and would love to take care of/walk pets whilst here for my 5 year course: every wagging tail or purr is worth it. Being a pet sitter is more than just the walking or home-visit of pets: it’s about pet welfare, and both the physical and mental wellbeing of the animals. I believe that being a Veterinary student allows me to allocate the appropriate attention your pet needs whenever placed in my care, but also allows me to further my understanding and love of pets and their behaviour; in effect preparing me for my future career. Additionally, I am comfortable with large/small dogs, cats, and all small mammals, and am more than happy to take them out for walks or looking after them at their owners’ home. I have lectures during the week in the mornings from 9:00 – 14:00, but apart from that I am free anytime. Thank you for considering me! May the Paws be with you (Star Wars)!
