Maren grew up in a household of dogs. When she was in the 6th grade she expressed interest in becoming a puppy raiser for Autism Service Dogs of America. Everyone was concerned she was too young for such a big responsibility and that giving the dog back when ready to be placed would be too difficult. She persisted. She insisted the dog would be her responsibility and she would be perfect for the job since her brother is on the spectrum and it is a world she understands well. Difficult to argue. Her first dog came into her heart and home soon after. Even as a young student the dogs were her sole responsibility. They went everywhere with her. They went to school with her every day, sporting events, church functions, movies and when she was out with friends. She became known as the girl with the dog. Ten dogs later she still is involved training service dogs for local organizations in her hometown. It has become very much who she is not just what she does. I can recommend Maren without hesitation.
