I looked hard and wide for a good, safe home away from home for my little 2 yo boy Toby. I tried a few places but Toby got all stressed out and would not eat for a few days afterwards. I was thrilled that Marda was willing to try him even while at 24 lbs Toby is bigger than what she would prefer. Marda and her husband are clearly dog lovers, and wonderful, friendly people, They have a lovely, safe, super clean home, and their own sweet little dog is very well taken care of - many children don't get as much loving care and attention. Their dog was sweet, playful and friendly with Toby, and I have no worries about the two of them getting along. Toby looked like he had been a family member at Marda's for a long time when I picked him up. However, Toby whined a lot during his stay as he has done wherever he is since I picked him up from the breeder. Marda was the first person to suggest Toby was not hyper, rather he may have a problem with anxiety, being overwhelmed. My vet agrees, so I will try an anti-anxiety regimen and see if that calms down his whining. Toby has eaten and behaved as usual after his stay with Marda and I look forwards to leaving him with Marda next time, knowing that Toby gets the attention he is used to while he will have more fun than he has at home. I could not have hoped to find a better place for Toby! Highly recommend, especially for small sensitive dogs.
