We can keep any breed of dog who is fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, gets along with other dogs, and is house trained. Anything about what your dog likes and doesn't like is key to keeping him or her entertained, happy, and healthy while you are away. We would want to know any special needs or requests, including food allergies, treat allowance, toy preference, sleeping arrangements, and crating (if needed).

Here's where we'll take our walks I walk my dogs every day in our neighborhood, usually two miles. The road through our neighborhood is not very busy, a lot of neighbors have dogs, and everyone watches out for the dogs walking. Sometimes I will take them on a hiking trail on a neighbor's property, but only if your dog is used to longer walks through the woods. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Our dogs sleep in our bedroom, where your dog will be welcome, as well. We have lots of different dog beds and one room with dog-friendly furniture if your pup prefers a couch. If your dog sleeps in a crate I prefer not to disturb this routine and will continue to crate them at night (we have one medium-size crate, but will use yours if this is not the correct size). Time I'll spend with your dog I work full time, but I usually work at home, so I would be with your dog most of the day and all night (other than to go to the gym or run errands). I travel to northern VA one day per week for work, but am home by the late afternoon. During the day, I take my girls for a nice long walk (at least 2 miles or more), we play outside, or we just sit in the sun on the porch. The dogs have free range of the house and make use of all the extra space we have to play with their many toys.
