Pet care experience
I've owned a dog since I was 10 years old and have loved dogs from day one. I'm a recent graduate of an MSc in Biodiversity and Conservation, so my passion for animals is deep in all aspects of my life. I have owned a dog, Pogo, up until January of 2018 when he unfortunately passed away, so having the opportunity to be around dogs again is something I'm delighted to be able to do. What I can offer: I make sure to keep up to date on information about behaviour and training so as to keep all the doggies I meet happy and safe! I can also help to teach basic obedience and reinforce positive behaviours. I've trained several rescue/foster dogs and have a good amount of experience. Sit, stay, lie down, leave it, recall, dropping and not jumping up are examples I can help to teach, as well as a few tricks such as shake, roll over, and basic agility training. I can also offer other pet care. I have experience caring for other pets such as cats, birds, and reptiles, so I can pet sit extra pets if required.
Reviews
No fuss, reliable, personable. Recommended.
Marcia was great with Nipper. All good in the house on our return. We were away for two and a half days and Marcia kept in touch throughout. She said that it was all very straightforward with Nipper who can be a live wire . Thanks to Marcia and we recommend her
Marcia is lovely and took such good care of our dog whilst we were away for the night, she kept me updated with photos and we came home to a very happy and relaxed dog who clearly loved Marcia! Our house was well looked after and left spotless, would definitely recommend ?
Our dog, Roma, is an anxious rescue who is initially very wary of people. Marcia took this in her stride and knew how help Roma feel at ease. This in turn meant that we enjoyed a full day out in London knowing that Roma wasn’t stressed and was being looked after at our home. Marcia sent us lots of updates including pictures of Roma relaxing which we really appreciated. We also really appreciated the initial ‘meet and greet’ that Marcia suggested. We knew from that moment that Marcia was a responsible pet sitter. We’d highly recommend Marcia, and I’m already looking at her availability for a future sit.

Safety, trust & environment
I'll strive to keep your pets comfortable and entertained, making sure their needs are met and that they're getting all the fuss and cuddles they need.
Information Marcia W. would like to know about your pet
Do they walk well on the lead? How do they react to other dogs? Is there anything they're frightened of? What do they respond best to (food, toys etc).
A typical day
On walks I'll make sure to vary the routes so no one gets bored, and everyone will get some time to play with their favourite toys. If there's downtime I'll make sure your pets are comfortable and chilled, with some nice relaxing music and a relaxed atmosphere.
Services
Marcia can watch in your home
Availability
With a full time job I will be able to do pet care mornings and evenings, as well as on my days off (however these are not regular in a week). This does allow me to house sit for long periods, however, if the dog can be left for a work day.
