Pet care experience
I have a very pet-positive home and we so enjoy our little visitors. I have grown up with and always loved dogs of all types. My family had everything at one time or another... Have experience with geriatric dogs but I do have a 2nd floor apartment. I will send you pics and updates while I babysit your dog if you would like that. I also have experience with giving them any pill, liquid or lotion/ointment medications they might need and have no problem honoring any special requirements or things your pup needs to be comfortable like providing a quiet environment or comfort during storms. I am usually home 24/7, I even hate shopping. Your pooch will get lots of attention. I can provide basic grooming a nice bath and brushing. No hair trims or nail trims. Grooming on extended stays is free. We do have cats but your dog or dogs will not have to share space with them if cats scare them. No cat-aggressive dogs, please. We have snakes and other reptiles and will also sit for exotic pets. Message me for details.

This was the first time in a while I had left my dog Tess with someone other than friends or family, so I was a little nervous about it. But Marcia soon eased my mind with the photos and updates she sent, as well as her approach to and caution in her care of Tess. I quickly was put at ease and knew Tess was in good hands! I also had some confusion and last minute change of plans, and Marcia was good about it all and just rolled with it!
Marcia took good care of our pups. She sent us photos and gave us updates while they were in her care.
Marcia sent lots of photos and updates. Our first time using Rover and we are so happy to have found Marcia. Our pup seemed quite contented with her!

I strive to meet all the specified requirements of each animal. Most dogs I sit for take to me right away and recognize me immediately as their care and comfort person. They can tell when you enjoy their company. Gaining their trust is important. I enjoy buying blankets and such for my visitors but these will always be laundered between pets. I never take dogs from two different families at once. Your dog, or dogs, will have my full attention.

Just what makes them comfortable for instance my daughter's dog likes to have you put a blanket on her at night. My daughter's dog gets a treat every time after she goes out to poop. Let me know anything that will help your dog feel at home.
A typical day
I live on a short dead-end street with very little traffic or noise. If your dog requires exercise it is readily available. We live by the Kenduskeag Stream nature trail, also a lovely place to walk. I think the best thing though is your dogs will know we enjoy them and are caring for them. I can carry your dog up and down the stairs if needed.
