Awesome Sitter - Work From Home
Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Marci, and I’m your dog’s second best friend! I'm a licensed massage therapist for people, horses and dogs. I'm very intuitive, nurturing and compassionate, and I have been a dog owner for the past 20 years. I work from home part time so I'm home every day, which means I can hang out with your dog all day! I love just about everything about dogs, from the way they curiously sniff the air during walks, to when they eagerly nudge my hand for a pet or massage. I treat all animals like family, and make sure they have what they need and want. If you leave your dog with me, you can rest assured they will be pampered with plenty of love, affection, and patience. I also know canine CPR and have basic medical skills. My goal is to provide a safe, trusted and loving environment for your pet so you wont have to worry while you're away. For additional peace of mind all dogs in our care will wear a GPS collar that can be tracked at all times. I truly feel that dogs are like people -- they are each unique and special in their own way! I would love to know what makes your dog different and unique, down to those hidden quirks and personality traits. Dogs bring out the best in me: my compassion, empathy, love, and encouragement all improve when I spend time with furry friends of all shapes, sizes, and breeds. I promise to shower your dog with all these things, and more! If your dog loves the outdoors, exploration, and long walks, then I’m the right sitter for your! I love to hike and horseback ride on my horse. I love to take my dogs to new places and introduce them to new experiences. One of my favorite seasons is summer, just because I can spend more time outside. However, the cold fall and winter weather means I get to snuggle up with your dog indoors -- either way, it’s a win! In addition to dogs, I have experience with horses, cats, gerbils, rats, hamsters, and birds. I am here to make whatever pet you have feel comfortable, but you’re my client, too! Let me know what you need to feel comfortable leaving your pet with me, including how many updates you would like. I’d love to meet you and your pet, so please contact me to set up a Meet and Greet. I’m sure we’ll be fast friends in no time.

No one else we’d want to leave our boys with. Thank you Marci and Richard for your flexibility and all the love you give our fellas. We appreciate all you do!!
As always, another great stay with Marci and family, this time, including our newest member of the family. Extra puppy energy and new routines for everyone could’ve made this a difficult time, but Marci and Richard went over and beyond to ensure our new puppy was safe and comfortable and that our older boy was still getting all the loves he has grown used to in the years he’s been coming here. Thank you from the bottoms of our hearts, we all appreciate everything you do!! 🥰
My dog LOVES spending time with Marci and her family. I know that he will get lots of attention and care in their home, he thrives on the company of her other dogs. I recently had to take an extended trip (over a month) and entrusted him in her care. He had recently had surgery on his paw, and it was not healing well. I was incredibly anxious about leaving him with someone else to attend to him, but she put my concerns at ease and took incredible care of him. The paw required daily bandaging and Marci even took him to his vet to for a check-up and to get instructions on how to care for the injury. She shared regular updates on how he was doing. By the time I got home, the bandages were off, and he was fully healed, thanks to her attentive care. Marci and her family are my absolute preferred “home away from home” for my pup. I could not recommend anyone more. She is the BEST.
We love how much Jackson loves being at Marci’s. He is excited when he realizes where we’re going, is definitely smiling in the pictures she sends, and is a happy and tuckered boy when he comes home. Couldn’t ask for better people to look after our Jax!

Information Marci U. would like to know about your pet
I understand how hard it is to leave your dog with someone new. If your dog has special needs, injuries, or funky personality traits, please don’t hesitate to let me know! The more information I have about your pet, the better our time together will be -- and the more at ease you will feel! I would want to make sure canine clients are up to date on vaccines and get along for the most part with people and other dogs, as well. Here are some questions I will ask during our meet and greet: Is your pal potty trained? Do they get along with other dogs? Do they have any special dietary or medical needs? Do they are any fears? Are they ok riding in the car? Are dog parks ok? Are they allowed on furniture? Who is the their vet and are they up to date on shots. Who is the emergency contact? What is their current daily routine? How can we make their stay as comfortable as possible? Feel free to bring a special blanket or toy of their own.
A typical day
I love being outside, especially with your dog! We’ll go on long or short walks, but we definitely explore. I love dogs’ curiosity, and I want to give them space to feel comfortable in new surroundings as much as possible. Although I love hitting the trails with my horse, it’s also great for dog walks. Wherever I walk your dogs, however, I’ll make sure it is safe and dog-friendly -- whether that’s trails or around my neighborhood. Our dogs favorite pastime is sitting on the love seat in the front window and watching the birds and squirrels! I know they would love another dog friend to keep them company. We can also provide brushing, and bathing if necessary at no extra cost.
