A great home away from home
Pet care experience
Finding a place for our furry family members while we're on vacation or out-of-town can can be a stressful situation. Will our dog be happy? Safe? Afraid or lonely? I love my dog, but (s)he can be quirky at times. Will the sitter know how to handle them? My dog has special needs, will they get the proper and loving care they require and deserve? Hi, I'm Marc. I'm new to the rover community, but not new to taking care of dogs. Over the last 10 years, I've had the opportunity to foster over 50-60 dogs for one of the larger rescue groups in SoCal from my home and was fortunate to gain a lot of experience and perspective from that period. Certainly a little more than the average dog lover. I also spent a few years helping out at a dog training center and learned a great deal through that experience as well. I like to think I speak fluent canine and have been told many times that I have a great way with dogs and some insight into their behavior. I work from a home office which allows me to do this and it also means I'm always around. I also have my own pack of 2 dogs (1 large and 1 small) who are very experienced with others, so your dog will never be lonely. They, like us, are incredibly social creatures and your furry kids will always have a sense of being part of a family when they're here. I have a passion for dogs and can't imagine what life would be like without them around. My home is an older, spanish-style house. It's clean and spacious, with outdoor access and secure fencing all around in a safe and quiet neighborhood, conveniently located near Cal State LA, where the 10 fwy and 710 fwy meet. I'm just south of South Pasadena and about 10 minutes east of Downtown. I look forward to meeting you and your dog(s)! Why I love dog sitting I don't know a time when I WASN'T a dog lover. We had a family dog that lived until a ripe old age until my late teens and I adopted my own first dog in the early 90's and they've been a constant presence ever since. I've always had a pair of my own and started fostering in the mid-2000s. I learned a great deal during that time and like to think I made a difference in helping dogs transition from their former homeless lives in the shelters to finding their forever homes. Meet my pets 2 Dogs, 1 Large, 1 Small. Both have tons of experience with other dogs and are very friendly. About my yard Medium sized backyard with concrete driveway and grass area that is large enough for dogs to run around in comfortably. My experience administering medication Yes, but not injections.

Marc was great! He took great care of my dog. Baxter came home well rested and super chill. Will happily leave him with Marc again Thank you!
We cannot express enough gratitude to Marc for watching our Doberman. Marc is truly a fantastic person and takes such good care of Franklin. Franklin needed to have his teeth brushed daily due to his sensitive gums and Marc truly took such good care of him. Marc is so kind, patient and communicative. He is like family to Franklin and us.
Marc is the perfect caretaker! Our Tucker seemed very happy to be with him and we were able to leave him without any issues- made our trip so much easier! Highly recommend.
Marc is very reliable, and Walnut had a great time staying at his place, where he was well taken care of.

Information Marc Y. would like to know about your pet
Obviously, any known health or behavioral issues. If it is the latter, please get in touch with me early to discuss. I would also like to see recent vaccination histories and would like to know what type of flea control, if any, is being used. I don't have fleas here and don't want them. Regarding breeds, I have no prejudice. All breeds are welcome. However, I do not take dogs unless they have been spayed or neutered. I sit multiple dogs at a time and I don't want to send more dogs home than were dropped off... if you take my meaning. ;)
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks Around my neighborhood. It's a quiet neighborhood with sidewalks and slight hills and is quite nice for dog walks, if I do say so myself. Your dog's sleeping arrangement In my bedroom on dog beds, either on one of mine or one that is provided by the owner. Time I'll spend with your dog I work from home, so I am around all day.
