As a responsible pet owner, and now pet carer, I understand the importance of knowing all the necessities before starting with a new pet including medical conditions or health issues that they may have, such as allergies, medication requirements, or mobility issues. Knowing a pet’s routine is key, including their feeding and watering schedule, as well as any specific training or commands that they are accustomed to, extending consistency of their known care. Getting to know a dog's personality and behavior will help me understand their temperament, energy level, and any behavioral issues they may have, such as anxiety or aggression. This in turn guides me in providing a safe and enjoyable experience for the dog during their walk and care, preventing and managing any potential risks or challenges that may arise. The same goes for cats or senior pets, which is as much about the pet as it is about putting their family at ease.

I love spending time with my furry clients and discovering fun things to do with them. One of my favorite activities is exploring local parks and nature trails, letting the dogs run off-leash and discover new sights and smells. I also enjoy playing fetch and other games that get the dogs moving and active, such as hide-and-seek or tug-of-war. On hot days, we might head to a nearby lake or river for a refreshing swim. And of course, there's always plenty of time for belly rubs, ear scratches, and cuddles. Whether it's a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood or an adventurous hike through the woods, spending time with dogs is always a joy and I feel lucky to have this as a job.
