I will want to know everything your dog will need for comfort and care while you are away. Does your dog have current vaccines? Have they had flea/tick treatment? How do they prefer to sleep? Do they have any allergies? What is their special dietary needs? Does your like to play with other dogs? Is there aggression with other dogs or people? This won't disqualify them from staying, but I definitely need to know. How can I help them feel at home? What makes them anxious? What makes them delighted? How often would you like updates of your dog's stay? Please note that when your dog stays with us, they will have access to dirt and grass, sticks and toys, and endless opportunities to run and play. While we do our best to care for their grooming while you are away, you may find your dog looking like you did as a child coming back from summer camp. Expect a happy dog, being a dog in the country.

I have an acre of fenced yard. When the dogs are in the yard, Cedar and I are in the yard with them. When the dogs are in the living room, they are playing and watching a movie with us or sleeping. It is a rare moment they are not having someone's full attention. Our home is near dog-friendly Manresa Beach with trails all around it. Your dog will get as much exercise as they like, with a quiet place in the sun to rest. All dogs sleep in our living room in an open bed or crate. All dogs are fed separately to keep relations friendly and to be sure everyone gets their specific nutrition. Just myself and my work-from-home husband live here. We have no children living in the house, so you can expect safety and constant spoiling and attention for your puppy. This K9 oasis is only 20 minutes away from Santa Cruz, but a world away from the city. It's a dog's life here!
