My name is Marae (Mah-ray). Throughout my life, dogs and I have tended to gravitate toward one another! I have cared for dogs of various ages, sizes, and breeds including beagles, chihuahuas, terriers, labradors, pit bulls, and retrievers. I love dogs of all kinds and I can't wait to get to meet your pup!

Marae was absolutely wonderful! We were traveling through from Montana and she was able to hang with both our four legged kids for the day so we could explore the city. She was flexible and even encouraged us to swing by the night before so she could meet the pups in advance (though we didn’t make it). One of our pups is a lg 75lb dog who is reactive with other pups and she handled her great. If we come back through Portland again I would certainly trust Marae with my kiddos again!!! They got lots of walks and a safe place to chill for the day :)
Marae was great with my Cricket. She gave her lots of walks, cuddles, and love! She ran her to burn off that terrier energy too. Marae is kind, sweet, and responsible. She gave me many updates and lots of pictures! Cricket loved the one-on-one attention that she got staying with Marae!!

I would like to know how your dog is around other people, children, and other dogs, as well as what kinds of things, may trigger your pup to be vocal, upset, or uncomfortable. It would also be important to know when you plan to arrive as well as any medications the dog may need in your absence.
A typical day
I will always prioritize what your dog is most comfortable with. I am located downtown with plenty of streets to roam and am also near a park with a fenced dog park as well.
