Pet care experience
I have experience with a variety of dogs such as puppies to elders and feel confident handling disabled as well as rowdy dogs. I have one of my own and it hasn’t always been the most glamorous job but I have always taken care of him the best I can no matter the situation and will do the same for your pet.

Mara was wonderful with Nash! She met us the day before his walk to make sure both he and I were comfortable with her. She was punctual, kind and responsive to all of my requests. I will absolutely be booking with Mara again and would highly recommend her services to others!
I have known Mara for more than 8 years and throughout that time she has been an animal lover. When we were younger she dreamed of being a veterinarian and then of being a marine biologist. Mara has more experience as a pet owner than anyone I know. She has had 3 cats, a dog, multiple hamsters, a fish and even more. She always makes sure she can provide the best care possible to all of the animals she is responsible for. I have been her coworker as well as friend and I have seen her impressive work ethic. Mara is always punctual and she encounters a problem she is quick to find a creative solution. Mara is an excellent friend and worker and she thrives when caring for pets. She deserves a chance to prove it.

I don’t have a backyard, so at home I take my dog on city walks and often drive to parks and hike. I feel very confident making sure pets stay safe when on busy streets and know how to recognize certain behaviors when in a new environment or when interacting with new people.

Before getting to know your pet it would be helpful for me to know their boundaries such as their personal space and how comfortable they are with new locations, dogs and people. I would also like to know what habits you have been working on and what they like to do for fun.
A typical day
We will explore new places together, meet new friends, exercise at the park, learn/practice tricks and of course have a relaxing time after the days work.

Availability
I am a Toronto student *IN OTTAWA FOR THE SUMMER* who loves to explore and meet the city dogs and sometimes cats. I often have hours off of school and tend to want to get outside and move my body and it would be way more fun to do so with the energy and love from the wonderful animals of Toronto.
