I want to start off by saying that Mara is a very kind person who showed up on time and I think took good care of our little guy on a recent trip. She was patient with him in allowing him time to adjust to her walking into our home and I think took him on several walks. I thought I was pretty clear with her ahead of time that our dog wasn't used to being home alone much. We had 3 dogs until recently, 1 passed and the 2nd stayed with a friend for our trip. Plus my husband and I both WFH so just aren't both gone a lot. I knew she worked PT out of the home but didn't expect her to then take a day long skiing trip on her day off from her PT job, leaving Jerry home alone for a long time. We came home to pee on my daughter's brand-new area rug, not just one spot, 4-5 and one huge spot on her new curtain. I'm guessing this happened over time while we were away and not all after she left our home. I also didn't expect for her to have at least 2 friends stay the night at our house, without permission. I'm sure they're lovely people like Mara, but it made us uncomfortable having even more strangers in the house. Ones that weren't background checked like her, people we had never met sleeping in our home. When I confronted her about this, she didn't seem to think it was a problem. I will say that if you have a dog that's fine being home alone for extended periods of time and are okay with random strangers staying at your house, she'd be fine, we just weren't comfortable with it.

Mara was on time, great communicator and my lil pup had a blast, would definitely hire her again!
