I've had dogs as pets my whole life and have been and currently am the primary person in my family to take care of our dogs from ensuring they had/have their flea, tick and heartworm meds every month, keeping up to date on their vaccines, to making sure they were/are always well groomed and clean. We had two golden retrievers for 16 years (a brother named Herkules - yes with a k :) and a sister named Serenity) who have now passed away due to old age but were so loved and still missed. Serenity was the first dog I could actually call my own and she was both sweet and mischievous! Having her in my life helped and taught me so many things, not only about myself, but about how to love others and what love really is. Now, we have two German Shepherds named Tod and Copper (after The Fox and the Hound) and boy are they a handful (but so worth it)! Copper is my dog and the first dog I’ve owned as an adult so my experience with him has been so different than it was with Serenity. With Copper, I’ve read about 8 different books on German Shepherds and dogs and training, have taken him to puppy school and continue to train him daily! He’s an incredible dog and my best friend. His loyalty to me is the most special thing I think I’ve ever had in my life and I’m so lucky to be his dog mom! So, if you’re looking for someone who’s well read when it comes to handling all sorts of dogs, who will love your dog like her own, who doesn’t mind running around, playing or getting dirty, and who can help reinforce the behaviors you’d like to see your dog have, I’m your girl! :) *The fees for the services I offer are not up to date.
