Hey everyone! My name is Mandy and I graduated from Virginia Tech as a Biochemist. I work full time as a Scientist in Richmond, VA. I adopted Buddy when I was still at Virginia Tech, and it was the best decision I could ever make. He’s been my best friend for 3 years, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Prior to adopting Buddy, I would watch my roommates dog for her and treat him like my own. I am most definitely a firm believer that dogs are just small humans. Buddy and I spend a lot of time cuddling, hanging out, and sleeping. He is well trained and socialized well with other dogs. I love teaching him new tricks so he knows all his basic commands. He is super playful and goofy so your furry friend will have a “bud” to hangout with at all times. Unfortunately, due to my work schedule - I am only able to board dogs over the weekend. I will still be able to walk dogs in the evening, and do drop-ins during the day. Regardless, I will do my best to work around my work schedule that so that I can take care of your furry friend.

Mandy was great at communicating in a very timely manner and was on top of all the details. We received many pictures of our Collie Jax during his stay so we felt very comfortable. I would highly recommend Mandy.
Mandy responded back so timely! She was able to watch Rosy so last minute and was so responsive. She took care of her until late hours of the night and her dog Buddy got along so well with mine! Super kind! Excited to have found someone in Blacksburg to go to.
Mandy took great care of our two dogs. She kept us up to date and was even able to drop them off at our house to make it easier for us when we got home from our trip. I would recommend Mandy.
Mandy was great with our 8yo Schnauzer mix, Huzi. Huzi is a rescue and is very nervous in New environments and Mandy went above and beyond to make Huzi feel at home during her stay. Mandy knew how to care gently for our aging dog (who has knee problems) and acclimate her to her own dog and the surroundings. Highly recommend!

A typical day
Your dog will be free to roam the house. I will never crate your dog unless it is requested. Your pup will be free to roam around the backyard, and I can take your dog to the local parks!
