My best friends have officially dubbed me the “Au Pair de Canin” - much more fancy and official than dog sitter or dog walker, so I’m going with it! I've cared for my pets, and friends’ pets, since I was a child and have over 20 years of pet care experience, not only with dogs and cats, but also sugar gliders, reptiles, farm animals, and wild animals (my aunt was a wildlife rehabilitator and I helped her care for her animals full time for several years). I am experienced in following strict medicinal, dietary, and care instructions for all types of animals of all ages. As someone who does not have children yet, my pets are my children and are treated as such. My soul dog, Pixie Vicious, passed away last year and she lived to be over 20 years old- people tell me that her long life is a testament to the quality of life that I was able to provide to her (though I feel she was the one bringing quality to my life!). I now have an one year old dog (Milaya Sestra, who is a Russian Toy) and an 18 year old cat (Kabal). Caring for pets gives me a great sense of purpose and I love being a positive part of animals' lives. There's something so pure about them that brings me so much joy! My friends and family trust me to take good care of their babies while they are away, whether it be feeding, bathing, walking, playing, giving medicine, just checking in on them and giving them some good pets so they're not lonely, and even practicing their training. I am currently training my puppy, Milaya, in obedience and agility and we will be starting scent work soon as well. As someone who focuses on positive reinforcement and that has a laid back personality, dogs respond well to me and we bond quickly. I am lucky to be a stay-at-home dog mom so I have an open schedule. You will also find that I am reliable, trustworthy, and will provide confidentiality and peace of mind for you and the best care for your babies. I love taking photos of pets (only with permission, of course) and if you would like me to send you photos and updates during our visit, I absolutely will! I have the ability to transport pets to and from your home (to trails, parks, etc.) or we can just walk around your neighborhood or play in your home or yard- I'm very flexible! I typically bring Milaya everywhere with me- she gets along very well with other dogs and is very well socialized with people, pets, and different settings. I would love to bring her on walks with other dogs, but I can also make other arrangements if you prefer or if that is a concern. Let's talk about it! I would love to meet you and spoil your pet!
