My name is Mandy and I'd be honored to have your pet stay with us in our home. (At this time, I only offer sitting for dogs. I do not currently accept cats. We also do not watch pups under 2 years old or intact males. Thank you!) My husband and I love dogs and have a 6 year old English Golden Retriever of our own named Ollie. He is the light and love of our home. He means the world to us and is part of our family. When we travel, I refuse to board him in a facility. I worked at a veterinary clinic for 5 years and the conditions of the boarding areas are anything but ideal. However, I know how hard it is to find someone you trust to provide a home away from home for your pet. So, to help make peoples' lives a little easier, and to bring some more puppy fun to ours, I thought I would provide that special place. We welcome dogs of all sizes! NOTE: For dogs under 30 lbs, the cost is $30 per night. Please ask for a custom quote! Also, our cancellation policy is only strict on holidays. We are flexible the rest of the year! I work from home so I am here 24/7. My husband is a firefighter so he is home often as well (their shifts are 24 hours on, 48 hours off). We live in a one story home on a very quiet street with a big fenced in back yard. We are about 5 minutes from Downtown Orlando and a couple of miles off I4. Dartmouth Park is also only a few blocks away. We walk Ollie at least twice a day, once in the morning and once in the early evening. We'd love to have your pet join us. Sometimes, to mix it up a bit, we take a lap around the park as our evening walk. Our yard is fenced in with lots of room to play. My husband also sprays our yard once a month for pests. Our dog is also on monthly flea medicine. We ask that your pet is as well to prevent any pests from coming into our home or yours. Since I am home all day, you dog is allowed in the back yard at any time but is always supervised. We always keep the house nice and cool in the summertime, but when the weather is nice, I open all the windows so your we can all enjoy the fresh air. All dogs are welcome on the couch and even in bed with us at night if it is ok with you. The most popular spot is on the couch looking out the window watching everyone that walks by.We love the company and wouldn't have it any other way! Since I worked at an Animal Hospital, I have no problem administering medicine or special diet routines. Ollie is on a special diet himself, Z/D, for allergies. We also have plenty of toys and bedding, but you are welcome to bring your own so your dog feels comfortable. We have no kids, other than our 4 legged ones. We also have a cat named Bella that is 9 and mostly keeps to herself. This is also a non-smoking environment. I try to limit the number of visitors to 3 at a time so your dog is sure to have lots of individual care and attention. I am even happy to text you pictures and videos of you dog enjoying their vacation. We will accommodate almost all special requests involving your dog's unique routine and preferences. We are flexible with last-minute bookings and extended stays. I rarely leave home without the dogs, but there may be occasions where I need to run an errand. Please know that these are short periods of time and your dog is never caged. If multiple dogs are visiting, everyone will be separated. Thanks for understanding!
