Mandy was kind and provided great updates and photos throughout the time we were gone. Part of the reason we chose Mandy was due to her prior excellent reviews and her proximity to our location. However, I am more than disappointed for two reasons: 1. We have ducks in an enclosure with two food containers and a pond. They are relatively easy to care for and Mandy agreed to keep their food bowls full and let them out of the enclosure if she had time. One of the food containers has a 22 pound capacity and was full when we left (the second container is about a 5 pound capacity and was also full when we left). There are 11 ducks and typically this food will last for about 5-7 days if they remain in their enclosure. We were gone for 9 days and both containers were completely empty. While I am hopeful they were not out of food for long, it is disappointing because Mandy updated me 10 hours before we returned to let me know their food was full. The ducks are always excited to get out and explore the yard on nice days, but they were lethargic when I tried to let them out upon our return and they did not move all day. 2. We have three cats who are free fed and to accommodate this, we have one large bowl 9x13x3 and an additional smaller bowl that is 5x3x3. Two of our cats eat constantly and they will go through the smaller bowl quite rapidly (about 1-2 days). We only had Mandy stop by every two to three days and the larger bowl was empty when we returned. I did receive picture updates to show one of the cats receiving wet food on two occasions, which is good. In general, I do not believe great care was taken to ensure animal wellbeing and we will not rebook with Mandy again. Based on her prior reviews, it seems as though we are the only pet parents who have had a negative experience. I am hopeful this is true, but I am also cognizant that it can be potentially anxiety inducing to write a review like this for an almost complete stranger who knows where you live.

Mandy is wonderful as always! So dependable and willing to help. She does such a great job with our cat and we appreciate all she does. Highly recommend.
