Pet care experience
I have a 2 year old American Pitbull terrier that has helped me to learn a great deal about positive reinforcement training, especially in regard to leash walking. I grew up with dogs and responsibly caring for them. Additionally, I’ve been a volunteer in the Dog Enrichment Program at Austin Pets Alive for 5 years. Personally, I cared for a cat for the last 7 years. I even learned to leash train the cat!

Mandi is extremely knowledgeable about dogs, their behaviors and body language. My dog and I are fortunate to have such a compassionate animal lover as a neighbor. I totally trust Mandi in my home and with my dog. She always shares photos or gives me updates if I have to leave my dog in her care.

I have a fenced yard with 1 friendly dog. I have an upstairs and downstairs separated by a gate, so if your pup doesnt like to interact with other dogs or just doesnt enjoy being around high energy dogs they can be kept separate.

A typical day
I have training through certified trainers that I saw for my own dog on how to encourage and reinforce loose leash walking skills. Additionally as an APA! Volunteer in the enrichment programs I love to offer mentally stimulating activities for your pup or kitty.

I'm currently working remote from home Monday-Friday with significant flexibility to come care for your pups or kitties during throughout the day, evening, and weekends.
