Pet care experience
I've loved animals my whole life. I've been vegan for 7 years. I've fostered over 20 cats and volunteered at my local humane society for many hours during the pandemic. I am very reliant and will do my best to give the best experiences for your loving pets. I have also dog-sat for several family friends over the span of 3 years.

Mandarine has always had a special touch for animals, and they respond well to her. We have entrusted her, in the past, to care of our guinea pigs (yes!) during our out-of-town trips and each time they returned to us more stimulated and engaged than usual. I have also seen Mandarine care for very young kittens with tenderness and concern: they thrive under her care. I'm just as confident that dogs would love Mandarine, and know that she will be both conscientious and kind. Do not hesitate to ask Mandarine to care for your pet. She can follow detailed instructions for their special needs, and you will feel relief in having her care for them when you cannot.
I have a border collie that is afraid of strangers. It is not easy for me to find someone to take care of her when I leave. When Queenie saw Mandarine the first time she instantly felt safe around her and she showed no sign of anxiety (which is very unusual for her). I realized at that time that Mandarine is one of those people that animals love instantly. They know that she is a real animal lover. I also have a cat. He can go outside but only with supervision. This is not easy for a pet caregiver. She is so great with him. Mandarine is one of the very very few people I would trust with my dog Queenie and my cat Yuzu. I am so sad she does not live in Hawaii anymore.

Availability
I am a full-time student at the Colorado School of Mines, so my hours are not too flexible depending on classes. However, I am available on weekends and in the late afternoons/evening, anytime past 3 pm any day of the week except Tuesday I am available past 5 pm.
