Pet care experience
I have experience with cats, dogs, rats, and horses! I grew up with cats, have assisted friends with dogs, worked with horses for 10+ years, and have rat-sit for close friends before. While not medically trained, I worked at a vet clinic for a year and a half, and I am familiar with common warning signs!

I recently had the true pleasure of having Mallory care for my two kittens for a week. Each day, I received gorgeous photos of the duo which made me feel very connected. Mallory bonded with my usually shy kittens and showered them with love and play. She was even willing to water my garden and gave me a few house updates. Mallory is an incredibly kindhearted, detail-oriented person and her care gave me piece of mind while I was away. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

I ensure that food is available during mealtimes and fresh water is always available. If pets are outdoors, or need outdoor time, I will ensure they have access to the outdoors in whatever capacity they need. Messes are swiftly dealt with. Plus, so much love! Playtime and affection is a must for pets that thrive on it.

For all: what should I expect when meeting your animal for the first time? Do they have any specific quirks to be mindful of? Are they allowed treats? For dogs — are they jumpers, are they barkers? Do they love to be pet immediately, or need some time to warm up? Do they pull on their lead? Are you training them to sit/stay/heel/etc. and would like that continued during walks? Do they like to carry around big sticks or prefer balls? On walks, are they allowed to interact with other dogs, or should we steer clear? For cats, are they hiders? Are they voracious eaters or nibblers? What weird household item is their favorite toy? How do you like their litter box to be cleaned, and how often? Do they lash out when nervous (if applicable), or are they more standoffish?
A typical day
I am always ready to play! Whether it’s fetch or going on a long exploratory walk, or tossing a hair tie or dangling a feather wand, I’ll give your pet both the enrichment and attention they need! I will always check food and water levels before I leave, and clean litter boxes if applicable. And you’ll get plenty of pictures, too!

I work full-time, but I work from home, so my schedule is flexible! I can pop in before, during, and after work, depending on the pet’s needs.
