Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Mallory Stone; my husband and I live right outside of Charlottesville, in Crozet. We love all animals! I grew up with everything from dogs and cats to horses and bunnies. We live in a spacious three bedroom townhome with plenty of room to walk the dogs within the neighborhood. There won't be a moment of your pup's visit that goes unsupervised! Since my husband plays football for UVa he has a very busy schedule, so I've taken on my classes this year totally online in order to stay home with our two pups, Dallas and Colt. Dallas is a playful, two-year-old lab/mix, and Colt is the most snuggly 8 month old hound. If your dog doesn't do well with others, Dallas and Colt can be kept upstairs on the second floor for the duration of your pup's stay or for extended stay, they can go visit their grandparents. However, both of our dogs are friendly and love to play with company! Make sure to tell me if you prefer that I only accept your pup for the day/days that they spend with us. I know that some people prefer for their dog to be alone while others like for them to be around other pups while they're away from home. It's a personal preference, so please let me know what you and your pup are comfortable with! I am willing to drive into Charlottesville, Waynesboro, or any of the surrounding counties to pick up pets! I also bathe and have a lot of experience dealing with pups who aren’t the biggest fans of the tub. If your dog is staying for the day or overnight, I’ll bathe for free upon request! If your pup goes to a dog groomer, I’m willing to drive them to and from during any overnight or day stays to locations under 10 miles away! Just make sure to arrange payment with the business beforehand. Most importantly, your pup's stay in our home should be as fun, relaxing, and stress free as possible, so let me know beforehand any specificities your dog may have! I can’t wait to meet you and your pet at our meet and greet!
Reviews
Mallory is the best! She has taken care of our dog several times and he is eager to go there (and worn out when we pick him up)! She's our first choice for doggie day care every time!
Mallory has been absolutely amazing with Noah. I always know that I am leaving him in good hands, and he also loves playing with her two dogs. She is super easy to work with and has been more than willing to take Noah to the vet for me if they can only fit him in during my work hours. I plan to continue using Mallory as long as she'll have us!
Did a great job of taking care of my Pug! Would recommend!
Mallory was great, our dog came home happy and calm. It was very easy working with Mallory, she has our business.

Information Mallory S. would like to know about your pet
I don't have a single preference when it comes to the breed or gender of the dogs I watch. All I ask is that they are up to date on their shots and flea prevention, as well as that they aren't so aggressive that they could endanger another dog or person. Because I have my own, I can't take in any sick pup's who aren't cleared by the vet to be non-contagious. I would also like to know any medications or important medical history your dog has. I would love to learn what your pup does and doesn’t enjoy. Do they have a favorite toy? Can they do any cool tricks? Is your dog good on a leash? Are they escape artists? I also want to know any individual requests you have!
A typical day
For pups who enjoy car rides, there is a dog park located only 1.0 mile away! For pups who don't enjoy the company of others but do enjoy exercise, we love to hike at Sugar Hollow- ten minutes down the road in White Hall! For the lazy pup, I still like to keep them entertained with toys and plenty of stimuli inside. An active pup is a happy pup! For those who truly just want to sleep, our sofa is theirs- we love to curl up and watch a good movie with our pets!
