Dogs are the best people I know

Pet care experience

I have several years experience as a dog and/or house sitter for family and friends. Breeds I have cared for before, in no specific order, are: Jack Russel Terriers, Labrador Retrievers, Pit Bulls, Schnauzers, Papillons, Cocker Spaniels, Australian Shepherds, Huskies, and of course mixed breeds. I have always loved dogs since I was very young, and cared for my first dog for 14 years. My dog was a small, 10 pound Papillon named Emmy, but I also have experience caring for larger dogs, and am not intimidated by them. My current dog is a 30lb poodle mix rescue named Falkor. He is still working on his manners so I can’t currently host animals at my home or bring my dog on walks with others. I’m happy to do meet and greets before bookings to see if things are a good fit, please just ask!

We were away for 4 days and had Mallory come twice a day to check in on our dogs. She spent 30 mins with our dogs each time. I appreciated how she communicated with us and cared for our dogs. She gave us peace of mind with her updates and photos. Will definitely continue to have her help us in the future and highly recommend her!

Mallory was excellent and I highly recommend. Our Golden Retriever, Obi, wasn’t even crazy excited to welcome us home from a weekend trip; He felt right at home with Mallory and clearly had a lot of fun. She sends plenty of updates, photos and videos so we were totally at ease. Will definitely be using her again for any upcoming trips. Thanks, Mallory! ?

Mallory has taken care of our little dog several times now, and every time we go on vacation we’re completely at ease! She sends us daily pics and/or videos of our dog, and we honestly sometimes question if he is having more fun than us!! Recently, our little poodle has started to develop some behavioral issues (esp when it comes to bigger dogs and barking), and Mallory has been able to handle him just as we would. We feel so comfortable with our little dog staying with Mallory, we wouldn’t recommend anyone else.

Mallory is fantastic! She went above and beyond to make sure my pup was taken care of while I was gone all day. 100% would recommend ?

I like to do a meet and greet before bookings to discuss what the clients’ preferences are and discuss any special needs for the pet or extra tasks needed in the home. If it’s a short notice walk or check in I just need the client to provide access and lock-up instructions, the location of food, water, treats, leash, medication, etc., and any other special requests. Everyone’s needs are a little different, however, you can always count on me to respect your home, your pet and your privacy. I strive to provide the same type of service I would expect if I were hiring a sitter for my pet and my home. Treat others how you would like to be treated.

Information Mallory S. would like to know about your pet

Does the dog have a specific eating schedule and/or diet? Does the dog have any food or toy aggression? Does the dog get along with other dogs of all sizes well or is it best to avoid interactions? Does the dog have any medical conditions or injuries? If so, will I need to provide them with a medicine or be sensitive to a certain area? Does the dog like a lot of attention or are they mostly independent?

A typical day

There are a ton of wonderful parks and trails in this area. I can think of a few places with an enclosed fence to play fetch. A simple walk around the neighborhood would of course be fine too. I'm also ready to provide lots and lots of pets and attention. I also would enjoy participating in reinforcing training such as sit, stay, lay-down, wait, etc.
