Experienced Pet Sitter at Your Service!

Pet care experience

Hi there my name is Mallory and I’d LOVE to care for your dog! I have a lot of professional pet care experience and worked as a professional pet sitter and dog walker in Boston for 2 years. Since then, I have been caring for pets independently and am looking to take on more clients. To date I have cared for more than 50 dogs on a regular basis and have cat sat for over 200 cats. I have experience with almost every breed and also care for breeds with dog or prey aggression. I have experience in multiple dog homes and know how to deal with dominance/hierarchy issues between dogs and cats living together. Rest assured that whatever issue you have; I CAN handle it, a piece of mind that other dog walkers/pet sitters can’t give you. If you are looking for a personal ,educated and professional experience for your pet care needs please feel free to contact me!

Mallory was great! Our dogs were well cared for and happy while we were away. I loved the daily updates and pictures, gave us the extra reassurance that everything was going well. Our house was spotless when we got home and we look forward to having Mallory again!

Mallory was awesome!!! She took really great care of our two dogs, and our apartment too. I really appreciated how thorough her intake was during our meet and greet, as well as her daily updates and photos of the dogs. She left a great summary note following her stay, and left our apartment in excellent shape. I hope she can pet sit for us again!

Malachi seemed to have a blast with Mallory! We do have a regular dog sitter it we are thrilled to have Mallory as a backup sitter when needed. We felt fully comfortable in her ability to care for Malachi. He looked well worn out from all the playing. Thanks Mallory!!!!

Mallory watched my German Shepherd Axle this weekend and everything went great! Last minute we needed her for Friday, which hadn't been planned, and she was able to adjust her schedule to watch him with a few days notice. That pretty much saved us! Not only did she play with our fetch obsessed dog until he dropped, she also picked up the mail and watered my plants! What a keeper :) I already have her booked for a few more stays and am so happy we found her! Thanks Mallory! :)

Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover ever since I can remember. As a child I always wanted a dog. When I was ten-years old I managed to finally talk my parents into getting one...since then I've been hooked! I've owned four of my own dogs to date and currently own three. My first dog Zoey died of cancer about 3 years ago, she was a yellow-lab. My current dogs include Romeo (chocolate lab), Jeffery (a pit mix) and Lucky (another pit mix). I also fostered a puppy for several months for a local rescue named Flippen who will forever be in my heart. Given my history and love of dogs it seemed completely natural to get into dog walking while attending college and I soon found my calling! Although it is impossible to have 50 dogs of your own, I found that I formed strong bonds with many of my client's dogs and they became an extension of my own dog family!

Information Mallory L. would like to know about your pet

Generally I like to meet with a client and their pet before I agree to a pet sitting contract. This way I can get a good idea of the owner's relationship with their pet, the lay out of their house and getting the pet familiar with me before I spend extended time with them. Basically, I find out the dog's temperament, needs and schedule and make sure we're a good match. I have a pet detailed pet questionnaire/ info sheet I require to be filled out prior to pet sitting. This includes medical information, emergency contacts, questions about dog aggression/history of aggression, age, weight, breed, where a dog would go if it ran away...etc. As a Pit Bull owner I realize that many breeds have undue negative reputations, therefore I have absolutely ZERO breed preferences. No discrimination here :)!

A typical day

Time I'll spend with your dog It truly depends on your dog's needs and schedule. If I am caring for your dog at your home it is unlikely that I will be leaving your house often. However, occasionally there will be times when I do. If I am caring for a dog for an entire day I will usually do a morning walk, and if I need to go out I make sure I am back for the afternoon walk, and again to feed for dinner/after dinner walk, and finally a bedtime walk. At most I am only gone for a few hours at a time, otherwise it is impossible to care adequately for the pet which is my utmost priority. Morning/Afternoon/Evening walks and feedings are all set to the preference of each individual client. Dogs are creatures of habit and strive in a structured environment, especially while their owner is absent. My primary goal is to keep your dog as happy as possible and therefore I make my very best effort to keep their schedule as close to their normal routines as possible. Extra house-sitting services Watering plants, turning lights on/off, bringing in the mail is always complimentary :)!
