I have an enormous place in my heart for animals, along with lots of acquired experience with care and maintenance of our furry friends. I treat my animals like children, and wouldn't have it any other way. I had a Lab/Rhodesian Ridge-back Mix named Sadie for 9 years, she was my world. She had a myriad of health issues - hypothyroidism, lupus, urinary tract infections/incontinence, degenerative myelopathy (deterioration of her spinal cord), and unfortunately ended up having cancer as well. The decision to put her down was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made in my life. After some healing, I got a new dog, Berkley. She is a Pit Bull/Boxer Mix. She is my angel. She is so smart, fun, and never fails to put a smile on my face. I only wish I could have her and Sadie together...they would love each other! I animal care take for friends on occasion, have volunteered at Pit Bull Rescue San Diego, and my college project 5 years ago consisted of making homemade, healthy dog treats and visiting San Diego animal shelters, sharing our treats!
