24/7 TLC. Licensed Sitter & Trainer

Pet care experience

ANNOUNCEMENT: At this time, I am currently accepting bookings from repeat clients ONLY. I am scheduled to accept new clients sometime in 2017. Thank you for reading! :) Whether it be work or play, the last thing you want to be doing while you're away is worrying about your pet. I came to Rover to provide the type of service I'd want as a pet owner: safe, secure, affordable, comfortable care in a clean and dog loving home. ABOUT ME // I've a devout Christian and have been married for nearly 5 years. My husband and I both grew up locally here in SWFL. I grew up on a farm owning 6 dogs at the time. I grew up with Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Dobermans, Great Danes, Yorkies, Aussies, and Schnauzers so I’m passionate about dogs big or small. I have nearly a decade of experience working with dogs with both obedience, behavioral, agility and even protective training. My mom was dog shower, breeder and vet tech, so my passion and experience with dog breeds runs deep in my family! As a Sitter, I love and care for a variety of sizes, breeds, and backgrounds over 50 different breeds to date! I understand that all dogs have their own personalities so each dog receives special TLC that is unique to them just as they would in their own home. OUR HOME // Our home is centrally located in South Fort Myers with local access to on-leash dog-friendly parks. Our house is a 1,200 square foot single family home on 1 level (non-smoking) with screened in front and back patio. We have over 5,000 square feet of space in our secured fenced in backyard with plenty of room to run, sunbathe, or just roam around freely off leash. We have a quiet home (no children) that is suitable for older dogs or those that have anxiety, but we do spend a lot of time outdoors and have the energy for playful and energetic pups who like to run, play ball or frisbee. We have a kiddie pool that we will out for "water loving" dogs who love to splash around and play. Dogs are supervised both indoors and out! My husband and I are active people and dog manage our personal time around bookings for dogs who are more active. PRICING & ADD. RATES // Our rates are all inclusive as we provide 24-hour in home care and supervision for all dogs booked in our care and includes feeding, medications administered, exercise, brushing, adequate outdoor time and training. Dogs have at least 4 hours of outdoor play each day. Dogs get a free complimentary bath when they stay 5 days or more. One overnight is for 24 hours. Any time after that will call for an additional 50% daily rate. Prices increase for those booking puppies (under 1 years). See more in the additional rates & prices above. Just like our home, we like to keep pups clean so guests who stay 5 or even 4 nights over will get a free complimentary bath and brushing. BOOKING POLICY // My husband and I make special accommodations in our personal and professional lives to be home and attentive when we are booked with pups. We provide 24/7 care and supervision in our home and do regularly turn away other clients when fully booked or when a dog is not compatible for the stay group. For this reason, we have a strict cancelation policy. NEW CLIENT REQUIREMENTS // DOG LIMITATIONS // Dog must be at least 4 months old. All new dogs must be evaluated prior to a booking request. I do accept intact males, however, must not have a habit of marking. I do accept females who have not been spayed as long as they are not in heat. All dogs must be housebroken. Puppies must be in the process of being trained to potty outside. I do not accept dogs who are trained to relieve themselves on pee pads or indoors. MEET-N-GREETS & EVALUATIONS // Meets and evaluations are required for all first-time Clients and dogs for booking approval. Since all dogs are off-leash, I will need to observe your dog's behavior and response to a public environment. This time serves me the opportunity to meet with Clients directly while discussing their dog's personality and personal history directly to ensure they are a good fit and that I can provide the best stay possible for them. These are by appointment and are subject to availability, so requests to meet is suggested to be made at least 2-4 weeks prior to booking period. Proof of vaccinations must be supplied at the meet for booking. VACCINATIONS // All dogs must current on DHLPP (or a variation), Rabies and Bordetella vaccinations to be accepted into my care. Rabies is required by Florida State law. All dogs are required to have Bordetella unless stated otherwise by a veterinarian. Photocopies of vaccinations are required and will need to provide at a meet-and-greet for me to keep on file for booking. Under no obligation will I book any dog that is not current on their vaccinations. This is for the health, safety and security of my family and pets, but as well for my current clients and their dogs that I care for. HEALTH & SAFETY // Dogs must be free from any communicable condition and must not have been treated with any communicable illnesses within 14-days of booking. This includes vaccinations. TAGS // If you live, visit or reside in Lee County for at least 30 days per year your dog must be vaccinated against rabies and licensed by Lee County as required by local law. All dogs must be wearing their Pet License–both for their evaluation and during drop off of a booked stay. OUT OF AREA CLIENTS // For those booking out of the area (in state or neighboring counties) be sure your dog still has the required tags for your respected county. If you are visiting from out of state, please be sure your dog is wearing their ID and rabies tag. Again, if you're visiting Lee County for more than 30 days, a Lee County Pet License is required by law. Photocopies of vaccinations are required for booking. MEET & BOOKING REQUESTS // As a courtesy to myself and other Clients, please do not request to meet or book if you are unable to provide copies of your dog's vaccinations and / or your dog lacking the local license and state tags that are required by law. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION // SECURITY & BOOKINGS // In instances where bookings overlap with other Clients or multiple bookings occur, dogs are booked according to compatibility. Not every dog is compatible, so it’s important to book as far in advance as possible to ensure booking approval. The safety, security and comfort of myself, my family, my pets and pups booked in my care is my number one priority. AVAILABILITY // Consecutive "unavailable" dates on my calendar are dates where I am fully booked with dogs from clients not affiliated with Rover. Single dates are dates where I am personally unavailable. Availability is subject to change at any time, however, my calendar is updated immediately following a paid reservation. RESERVATIONS & REQUESTS // All boarding is by paid reservation and initial meet & greet completed only. I will not reserve or hold a space for any dog(s) by way of verbal request requests and will accommodate other clients follow prompt booking practices. Holidays, weekends and stay periods fill up quickly, so reservations are recommended to be made in as far in advance as possible. It’s recommended to book at least 8-12 weeks prior to holidays and 4-6 weeks prior to weekdays and weekends to ensure a spot. Before requesting a reservation, please see my Rover calendar for available dates.

Malika was awesome! Our puppy was so happy and she kept us updated throughout our whole trip! Our puppy slept for 2 days straight when we got home because she played so much!

We absolutely loved Malika! She sent several pictures of Lizzy while we were gone which helped us feel at ease knowing she was having fun! Lizzy (like a lot of small dogs) can be very nervous at times, but Malika assured me that she would make her feel right at home, and that is exactly what she did!! Very loving environment for the dogs.

☑ IMPORTANT FOR NEW CLIENTS: Before inquiring to meet or book, please read the 'New Client Requirements' in my About Me section above. This will provide details on what is required from you for booking to ensure you're covered by Rover's insurance as well as my own pet insurance. ☑ Meet & Greets: To ensure a safe and comfortable fit, meet & evaluations are a requirement with all first-time clients and dogs prior to booking acceptance. This provides me the opportunity to evaluate your dog's behavior in person while learning more about your dog's daily routine, likes, dislikes in-depth with you. The evaluations take place during meet & greets. Under no obligation, I will not book any client or dog that I have not personally met prior to a confirmed booking. ☑ Vaccinations & Tags: All dogs MUST be current on vaccinations (DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordetella) and must be wearing the required ID, rabies/license tags as required by local and state law (Florida Statues 828.30). Under no obligation will I book a dog without proof of vaccinations or one that does not have their required tags. ☑ Health history: To ensure the health and safety of all dogs in my care, I require all dogs to be in good general health and have not been treated for a communicable illness in the past 14 days and/or have completed the prescribed antibiotics or treatment. This includes dogs who have or are currently being treated for mites, mange, conjunctivitis, whipworms, kennel cough, etc. ☑ Personality & Background: Each dog is different, so it's important to note your dog's personality and history at our meet. Maybe your dog had a bad experience in a boarding facility or your dog was a rescue and was abused? Their background will help me understand your dog to ensure the best care possible. ☑ Medical history: Any existing medical needs must be provided in writing prior to a stay, including, but not limited to dosage, time(s) and proper administration of any medications. This is so required by Rover's Terms of Service, otherwise, you will not be covered by their insurance! ☑ Food or toy protection or aggression: Owner's must be candid of any history of growling, snapping, protection, biting in relation to food, toy, dogs or humans. Every dog is given a chance evaluation, however, this information is necessary to ensure adequate booking for the safety and security of all paws involved. I have many years of experience working with dogs with bad history (ie. abused) or ones behavioral issues, so I more than happy to work with any dog during their stays.

JUST LIKE HOME // I'm passionate about animals and treat each dog as if they were my own! That's one of the biggest reason I'm a Sitter. I couldn't see myself dropping my dog off as a kennel only for them to be in a cell-type environment alone at night with no one there. My home is clean, quite, comfortable and above all else, dog-friendly! Dogs are welcome to sleep where they'd like (snuggled in bed with me for example) unless otherwise requested by the Client. I provide premium care and 24/7 supervision both indoors and out! At no point are dogs left alone or in a cage when they're booked in my care. PLAY TIME & EXERCISE // I have a large backyard that is fully fenced and secure with tons of shaded areas to play fetch, run or even sunbathe. Dogs have access to dozens of toys to play with, whether it be playing with other dogs or myself, and water-loving dogs are given a fresh kiddie pool to splash in when they arrive. When dogs are booked in my care we spend several hours each day outside for playtime and potty breaks. BOOKINGS & OTHER DOGS // I only book up to 3 dogs at a time. In instances where bookings overlap with other Clients or multiple bookings occur during the same period, dogs are booked according to compatibility from the 1st and 2nd dog booked. Because I book a variety of different personalities and play groups can vary vastly, Clients are encouraged to book as far in advance as possible to ensure booking approval. SAFETY & SECURITY // I will not accept a dog into my care that I do not have vaccinations records of, which are required to be current for booking. Under no circumstances will I book a dog that I not personally met and evaluated to ensure a safe and comfortable fit for the group. This is the type of safety and security I would want as a dog owner and the standard level of assurance I provide all Clients and their pets. WHAT TO BRING // Clients are encouraged to bring their own dog bed so their dog will have their own personal comforts. This is ideal for dogs who suffer from anxiety or it's their first time with me as it allow dogs to feel just as they would a home. Personal items needed for the stay is their food, their food bowl, leash and dog must be dropped off wearing their collar with tags hanging upon drop off. Water bowls are not necessary, but can be brought if it's a 2-in-1 dinner set. Toys aren't needed as I have baskets full of dog toys, but Clients are welcome to bring whatever makes them and their pups favorite toy or whatever would make them most comfortable. :)
